Afternic/GODADDY Parking Revenue Dropped to Zero

After Afternic switched to Yahoo ads last month, a lot of domain parking revenue suddenly dropped to 0. The strange thing is the traffic is still there and visits are still being counted, but earnings completely collapsed compared to the old Google AFD system. Is Afternic having technical problems with the Yahoo feed, or is something else happening behind the scenes with parking payouts?

Some users are now asking whether GoDaddy started cutting or filtering payouts after its stock price crashed heavily over the past year, similar to how YouTube creators complain about sudden demonetization and withheld earnings. The domain parking community deserves a clear explanation from GoDaddy about what is really happening with these Yahoo feed earnings.

I understand your point, but if nobody talks about sudden revenue collapses, companies never feel pressure to explain anything. A lot of people are reporting the same problem after the Yahoo switch, so I think discussing it openly is fair.

Maybe, but staying silent also allows companies to think people will just accept losing revenue without questioning it. We already saw similar situations with YouTube demonetization, where some creators only got attention or even recovered YPP after people started publicly talking about it on X and other platforms. I’m not saying anyone is guilty yet, but when a large number of users suddenly report the same issue after a major feed switch, I think it’s reasonable to ask questions publicly.

I rarely post on forums, and I’m pretty sure you’ve made far more posts than I ever have. I’m simply sharing what I personally experienced. If you don’t like the discussion, you can always ignore the thread or move on. What I strongly disagree with is the idea that people should stay quiet instead of criticizing problems. That mindset is similar to telling someone “if you don’t like the country, then leave,” just to shut down criticism instead of addressing the issue itself.

Hi

im certainly one to step forward and speak out, while the silent majority may stay silent.

so, wasn’t trying to silence you, just pointing out the futility of it all

NamePros is a highly specialized forum for domain investors, which is exactly why these discussions matter. If even one person sees this thread and realizes their parking revenue suddenly dropped after the Yahoo switch, they may start checking their own stats more carefully. Small discussions can create larger awareness over time. That’s basically the butterfly effect.
