hi,

im proper new to all this, but there is something that i have always wonderd.
how would you make your own extenstion like.... .do or sumat like that??
i would love to start a new domain extenstion .. i would think of a better one than .do tho lol. but bk to the question is it possibal and what would be the costs involved??

The non-refundable fee for having an application even considered is US$50,000, and your own cost of formulating a proposal and preparing an adequate application will likely be much more that.

I'd estimate you'd need a minimum of $250,000 to start. $50,000 for the application fee, I believe ICANN requires near $100k of liquid assets, plus servers or a company to run it for you, plus bandwidth, plus payroll, plus software, plus promotion, plus....
