Hi, nope I am serious.

The domain name is akaoto.com

I added a newly acquired domain name to my Sedo account.

And right from the start it got 1 visitor and 1 parked click...

The next day again a couple of visitors and 1 parked click...!

Now your asking yourself whats the matter with this guy, why is this noob taking my time with this nonsense???

Well the matter is that I right from the very first second I got this domain put a website on it, without any ads or anything else then only the free template I had found some time a go.

So how the ...biiip... can sedo track visitors to my site (AND its not visitor numbers to the domain name in Sedo listing, but the unique visitor to the website it self)

AND how can I get clicks for a website which doesnt have any ads or anything related to Sedo? its never been parked since I got it, I never putted any ads on it, and I just added it to my account in Sedo!

Anybody else have seen this kind of behaviour in Sedo?

Thanks.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

If you put the website you must wait 2-3 days max so all dns cache of the world will update, till then some people still see your old parking domain.

Thanks for your help, but I dont think I have been good at explaining my issue.

It is a website and I am not trying to park it.

I have not changed the nameserver since I first got it. When I got it I changed it to my nameserver and set up a website.

I am not trying to park it, just listing it in sedo.

So how can Sedo see how many visitors my website has, and how can I get paid for a parked click, when I have never parked it before? :)

A weird thing happened with me....I added a domain name to my Sedo Account & changed its nameservers pointing to Sedo. But, when I tried to manage it from within the control panel, I always got a message "Domain name being verified"

and the worst part is, all this while..I had clicks on the domain name but the revenue was never added to my account...Guess, Sedo ate it all up!!

This still is continuing.

How can I get parked clicks, when the domainname never has been parked?

Would a kind being visit the site to see what they can see. Maybe its a geographical thing? Are you seeing a website or a parked site, thanks.

akaoto (dot) com

Best regards,

Probably some links to sedoparking.com/akaoto.com still exist.

Can this be it?

I think what you say sounds the most possible cause! Thank you, I think I will contact Sedo, so I dont have my account closed, because of a misunderstanding.

what's pissing me off about SEDO is that i listed a domain for sale and it's not showing up in my DOMAIN MANAGEMENT screen. But if i do a search for domains for sale, it shows up there so is it verified or what? If i can't see it in my control panel then i have no way of editing the asking price or adding a description to the domain. Can someone explain to me if i did something wrong? I followed the domain adding process and all my other domains got verified and listed except that one domain.

It might be that the domain name is in the old owners account? This happens sometimes, then you have to contact them.

Hmm that's interesting, but i regged this from scratch so it's still possible to see who was the previous owner? Maybe that explains why SEDO mentioned that all my domains were verified with the exception of that one particular domain. Is there such thing as a Domain owner history to check for previous owners? Because in my whois it only shows my creation date (which was recent).

:) what I thought was weird was that I got sedo park clicks, when the domain is not parked in anyway. :)

But "mvl" solved my puzzle.

when im using domaintools on it i can see this
Buy Now: This domain is listed for sale for $5,000.00 at Sedo
most probably the former owner of it, forgot to remove from sedo.
i think you need to inform your sedo rep or sedo rep here so they know it's not your money. honesty is still the best policy.
