I seem to have so many things in my life to sort out, that I think I was cruising the expired and drop lists to escape. I've had a few enquiries, and sold a few names - probably too cheaply. The latest one is CryptoBounty.com which I listed a few months ago for $950 in the Name Silo market place. I forgot it was there, and I started to put together a couple of pages to build it into a site eventually. Well I woke up yesterday to a finalised sale, and the money is in my account. That will teach me to keep on top of my listings. The name has gone straight onto Undeveloped, so the guy will probably make a handy profit from his purchase.

I've got another front runner as well. Buy Pure Gold.com listed for $22,264, and I haven't even listed it for sale.

Someone mentioned acquiring this name yesterday on another thread. Best to not use BIN unless you are sure.

Pretty sure it was a member here who aquired Crypto/Bounty...com.
Congrats to both of you!:xf.smile:
Best of luck with future sales!

I'll have a look in my account, but i think i picked it up for reg fee.
I'm aware of the development in the crypto bounty market, as I'm active in the bitcoin talk forum, but I've tried to avoid getting involved, as the signature spammersfor the bounty programmes there are a real nuisance. I'm sure the name could generate a load of money for someone who is into ICOs and airdrops, but I don't want to get into that market. I don't mind selling them domain names though.

Anyway. I can cash out the sale proceeds in a few days, and that will give me a bit more Bitcoin. Of course that has shot up in value before i can cash out. That's probably as a result of the banks testing the water for the fiat collapse by killing Visa for a few hours.

I didn't want to hear that. :)

It was a dropped name that cost me $9.79, so I shouldn't complain really. It does show that you need to watch trends, and adjust prices accordingly. I've just taken EasyBitcoinMining.com out of my market place. I had it listed for $69, and I realise that it can be used for the emerging interest in the urban mining of Bitcoin. Urban mining of Bitcoin is the hunting through old hard drives looking for discarded Bitcoin wallets.

any money you may have potentially lost on that domain you will not doubt have made big time in the bitcoin market depending on when you bought your bitcoin and other coins

I daytrade and swing trade bitcoin in a practice account its good fun and good money can be made guessing which way the bitcoin value will go but by the minute and hour not month etc

I don't really look on it as lost money, but as potential profit that I failed to realise. The buyer paid my asking price in full, so it's my fault for not watching the trends. I think I'm going to put all my better names onto make-offer, and then I can review them. I sold a Viagra name for low $xx, and I'm pleased about that. It was one of my clearout names, and I've stopped promoting pharma and medical products. I'm sure the guy who bought it can build a revenue stream with it, but I wanted to distance myself from those products. Buy-it-now is great for these clearout names, but obviously I need to reconsider my idea of " clear out ".

I've missed out on a lot of price optimisation in the past - Forex24.com is another one. I took that to another domain name forum for valuation, and was told it wasn't worth reg fee. I sold it to a Swiss bank for low $xxx - the initial contact was via a gmail address.

But all of these are just part of buying and selling, what has really annoyed me is the loss of good names through registrar 'failures'. I lost IdleTalk.com for example, and it took me six months to recover OilDrum.com after it disappeared from my account several months before expiry. In fact, that incident was the reason I decided to move all my names to Name Silo.

Most domain names are only as good as the idea, vision and concept of its owner either the seller or buyer of the domain name

typical example

the domain that mark zuckerberg bought for about 200k usd etc

How many of us would be worth 75 billion usd by owning Facebook dot com domain name

Its mark zuckerbergs idea ,and long term vision that he had and still has which has made that concept a reality worth in excess of half a trillion bucks

I own tech venture start up two keyword .com domains

which are of no use to anyone and completely of no value to anyone

Unless you had the idea , vision and concept of the idea

Which i had and still have but cant be bothered to make a tech start up

but i know that its only a matter of time before someone else has the same tech venture start up ideas that i have and also have a long term vision for the same idea i had and still have and will want the two keyword .com of the idea that they can make a reality

Its just a matter of paying £10 a year renewal s and waiting for technology to make my idea
