I've got about a 100 or so more domains for sale and I am using Efty's make offer landing pages. I really like efty and their landers.

The thing is I'm entirely playing the waiting game on inbound. I wait for enquiries to come in and I haven't listed my domains on Sedo, Uniregistry as I want to save on commission and quite frankly I think sedo is flawed and their nda sales data disclosure ridicilous and u have to pay an extra fee to keep sales private.

The good news is that i have gotten enquiries and offers on my domains via inbound using efty. The majority of the time I've declined the offers even though some offers have been high, but I want slightly higher. My domains also get regular flow of inbound visitors as per the stats so at least I know they are being looked at.

The problem is I get offers every month or so but not to the degree or frequency I would like.

I now wonder whether I should do outbound emails or is outbound something that doesn't really work?

Should I keep using my efty landers and list my domains on all platforms? I know Uniregistry is lacking now and I'm not a fan of sedo.

What do you guys suggest? Time to do outbound and list domains on all platforms?

It sounds to me like you are almost there with your domains getting people looking at them and making offers. I would first of all make sure that your expectations on price are not too high, and perhaps you would be better off accepting a slightly lower price to complete sales. Perhaps get a couple of experienced domain investors who you trust and know the subject areas of your domains to independently of knowing your price suggest to you valuations. If those are higher or equal to your own, then stay firm, but if they are suggesting less I would reconsider your price position.

Re outbound, I am restricted by Canadian anti-spam legislation which would make most forms of outbound at least theoretically not allowed. I also hate personally getting unsolicited offers via email, mail, and especially phone. Therefore I only now and then do very narrow outbound where I have some sort of relationship and the name is a very good fit.

There is a middle option between inbound and outbound however, and that is to use social media to let people know that you have the domain available. You have to be careful because people don't like getting spammed on Twitter, etc. but you can comment on e.g. how pleased you are to own a name, or mention it in part of a post about the topic, etc. that might capture interest.

If you maintain your own website, make sure that in the description that search engines use for your pages there are appropriate descriptors for the subjects that your domain names are in.

If your domains are in one or two subject areas, then you might consider setting up an information website that will bring users interested in that topic, and list your available domain names there. That of course is a major amount of work. I do have eventual plans to do that with a few areas myself (probably CRISPR/biotech, space exploration, nanomaterials) but have not actually found the time to do it yet!

Thanks for your post, and I look forward to seeing what others say! And I am envious that you are at least getting offers from Efty landing pages (although I am new there and impatient maybe!).

Should I just list my domains everywhere and start doing outbound?

I've directed everything I own to various sales pages for many years now. Most of my sales come direct from these pages. I also list everything at Sedo, Uniregistry, Afternic etc... but really Afternic is the only one that seems to produce anything substantial due to their strong distribution network allowing you to make sales without pointing the domains to them. https://www.afternic.com/domain-reseller-network

So I'd say keep using direct sales pages but definitely doesn't hurt to list at other markets especially Afternic just keep in mind sales commissions if a sale does happen to roll in.

Outbound I haven't touched much as I run a bunch of websites that generate revenue combined with receiving enough inbound offers naturally to keep me busy and ROI is generally higher when they knock on your door first. So I've always been a majority direct no commissions paid passive seller as busy working on websites/recurring revenue streams. If all your income is strictly domain sales related and not up to your standards then nothing wrong with trying to boost that with other market listings and maybe outbound. Outbound to me has always been the equivalent of door to door sales though. Have to convince them they need your domain as they didn't get off the couch to come look for it and be prepared with a price to make it happen. Inbound I get a 4k offer, tell them domain is in the 5 figure range and 30 minutes later they raise to 11k so definitely more power when they knock on your door first as then it's already established they want the domain so all that's left is research on the buyer and price negotiations to see if you have the "right" buyer on the line. Inbound equals "Hot" leads, outbound equals "Cold" leads so inbound closure rate and ROI generally higher. Pretending I don't need the money has worked well for me over the years so not really an outbound or domain forum selling fan.
