i clicked on a thread here (Young Domainers forum)and got this message:

"Sorry, but you are not of proper age to view this forum. You must be at least 13 years old, and no older than 21 years old."

so only members who are between the ages of 13 and 21 can read it?

must be a bug or not

Not a bug - designed to be that way.

can you explain why?

i wanted to reply to a thread but it seems they are being blocked from learning anything from older, experienced domainers.

just my opinion though

I don't decide what the age is, and if I recall correctly - staff + the users of the teen forum (the teens registered here) decided that age... but honestly I'm not 100% sure, I could be mistaken.

Do we have a Senior Domainers forum to block out the Young Domainers?

Doesn't make sense to me...

Yes, there's an "Adult Break Room" as well as the standard "The Break Room" which is accessible to all.

The Adult break room is more for Adult topics, not the same thing when compared to the Young Domainers section...

It really doesnt bother me I just find it strange.

It is the designated Teen Zone forum that's been around for years. The age limit was just raised to 21.

Hi -RJ-

Thanks for responding

i guess there is a point for it, but it seems that with the age restrictions, the ability to learn anything that's "key or imperative" to the business of domains may be stifled by that very restriction.

not that I am "all knowing" or anything, but there could be others who may want to contribute but are above that age restriction.

therefore, those teenie's could end making mistakes that could have been avoided, if they had the benefit of more experienced domainer imput.

but if they're happy....then i am too ;)

imo...

@Biggie: Yeah - I hear ya. There's been a few threads in the teen forum I would have liked to have been able to respond to as well.

Judging from some of the thread titles I've seen when browsing through "Today's Posts" appearing in the Teen Forum, I get the impression that many, if not most of them appreciate having a forum to themselves.
