The other day I notice that my products disappeared from Google Base... So I went to my Google account and tried to upload a new feed and it gets disapproved. After wracking my brains out and beating my head on the keyboard trying to figure out what's wrong with my feed I contacted Google and asked them why my products were removed and my feed keeps getting disapproved...
I get this response that I am sure is just a copy and paste job...
So I calmly replied back, thanking them for the reply, and explained that I do indeed stock and ship the products to the customers that buy from me. In fact, they are my own brand. I have a shopping cart and even use Google Checkout. Heck, my brand name is also my domain name... After a while I get this reply back:
The exact same thing!!! WTF???
I haven't replied back yet. I guess I'll just wait a couple weeks and try again and hope I get a different employee review my site and feed... maybe one with a clue that knows the difference between a legitimate merchant site and an affiliate site.
I can't believe they would just disable my Base account like that. Not only that but I got no notification and my account looks normal until I try to submit a feed and it gets disapproved.
Also, by Google Base's terms and policies, sites like Amazon.com, eBay.com, Shopping.com, etc... should not be in Google Base. How can sites like that not be considered affiliate sites when they don't ship the products directly to the customers like Google's terms state? They help you sell your products and earn a commission from it... I don't know... sounds like affiliate stuff to me.
But I guess they are allowed to break the rules since they spend millions upon millions of dollars with Adwords.

Thank you for your email. While reviewing your data feed we noticed that
your site isn't compliant with our Program Policies. We have therefore
disabled your Google Merchant Center account.
You must own any products that you submit to the Google Merchant Center
and ship these products directly to the buyer
