I've just received an offer for a .be domain name (parked at SEDO).

I have this domain name registered through Namebay.

Anybody already transferred a ".be" domain name from Namebay to another registrar? Could you share the "howto"?

Thanks in advance.

If Namebay does not have a push feature check this:
http://dns.be/en/home.php?n=49

The buyer would have to choose a registrar then initiate a transfer request, that must be approved by you.

Thankyou, but wouldn't this break the privacy that Sedo should keep between the buyer and the seller?.

I mean: when I receive the transfer request, I will know the identity and, in that case, if the final buyer and I would come to an agreement Sedo would lose its comission.

Is there something I'm missing or the above could be true?

(anyway, I *do* want to make the operation through SEDO to avoid potential problems with "not serious" buyers).

I've had registrar issues when going through Sedo.com and they were very good to help me and the buyer find a resolution. Whoever manages your account/transfer should be able to work something with you.

Sorry to bump this thread!

Will this transfer procedure will be applicable for domains registered through freebe.be as well.

Cheers

Sedo will normally provide you with all the info you need to complete the transfer. Be sure you are aware of the fees. Their fee for ccTLDs is higher than for c.om and it also depends if the names have been parked with them.

The procedure described at http://dns.be/en/home.php?n=49 is the normal procedure for .be transfer, unless the registrar offers a push feature.
Also please note that when a domain is transfered to another registrar, the 'birthday' will be set to the date of transfer (remaining time credit will be lost), this is a pecularity of .be

Sedo will make the buyer pay for transfer fees and then you will get an email from dns.be to confirm it. Quite simple. Fees are not more expensive btw. Its in the cheap 10% category :D

Thankyou for sharing your knowledge.

Yes, SEDO charges the greater between 50EUR and the 10% of the sale price.
