Then pulled it not long after it started...

17.net $1,024.00 $59.00 Outbid! Dec 12, 2007 12:15 PST

Email that followed not long after.

Very sorry for the confusion and hassle. This name should not have been offered to us for sale.

This stuff should just not happened. I looked at the whois and for no reason this should of been on SnapNames. It is for sale at Sedo, but it never went Pending Delete, nor was it listed with uDomain that registrar they use when a seller is selling a domain on snap, so who's know why or how it got listed.

Again Sedo. The plot thickens.

Odd thing was, it was listed on snapcheck as deleting though.

I found snapnames' whois is not accurate, many of the names in my backorder list are not available, and yet snapname does not update automatically.

Well I think this is "All" auction houses in general. If you look at most domains that are in the Pre-Order list at NameJet, most have been reclaimed, but NameJet keeps them on way longer then they should.

Its interesting to see what price they get up to though. Cant this help us to finding the average values of these types of domains?

No surprise here - Can no auction house seem to do business the right way?

I can't fault them for making mistakes (Well, I take that back; I can and do fault them for making mistakes ;) ), but these generic "oops" emails really irk me. Perhaps more explanation of exactly what went wrong, and what they are going to do to make sure it doesn't happen again (Snap did this repeatedly - usually seemed to be TM issue domains, or great combos that seemed to be going "low" without the ex-big-names involved.).
