When a corporation, such as, say, Ace Hardware, wants to place an order with a manufacturer, they use their edi interface to electronically send the purchase order. In turn, the manufacturer uses their edi interface to receive orders.
After the order is completed and shipped out, the manufacturer uses this same interface to send an Advance Shipment Notice, telling the Corporation the order shipped, the frieght line used and tracking number, so that they can be ready for the order when it arrives. Some corporations even require manufacturers to electronically document each specific item on each uniquely labelled skid, so they can verify contents of the order more quickly when it is off loaded. The manufacturer then sends an invoice electronically, which gets dumped, automatically into the Corporations coputer system.
Once the Corporation pays the invoice, a direct deposit notification is sent via EDI, so the manufacturer will know to watch their bank account for the incoming transfer.
In this way, resources are saved, documents are ot lost or delayed in the mail, payments are received on a timely basis, etc.
So, you do have a typo domain there, but you also have a domain that could read, EDIit.com , maybe there is something you could do in regards to EDI with the domain.
Off hand, a couple computer companies that are fairly big in the industry are Advanced Data Exchange, Sterling Commerce.
Not sure how to monitize the domain, unless there would be a blog or review of EDI solutions out there, and then perhaps approach the big players for advertizing fees, once you've built up the traffic.
One last comment, though. Every single retail chainstore of size uses EDI. Billions upon billions of dollars worth of orders are transmitted annually via EDI worldwide.

If you envision what the typical manufacturer's office looks like, they will have a basic accounting system, like QuickBooks. Now, chain stores require that that manufacturer use EDI to communicate with them. It is not optional. If you want to sell to Wal Mart, Ace, whoever, you have to add EDI.
So, many manufacturers added an EDI program as a seperate entity, just to keep chain stores happy.
But, they ended up with two entirely seperate applications, accounting and EDI, which caused duplicate data entry - you are putting in invoice info into your accounting system, then turning around and entering that same data into an EDI system to keep your customer happy.
At this point, many manufacturers are developing ways to combine the two. Enter it once in your accounting system, press a button and the EDI info is exported into the EDI application, then uploaded.
As such, there may be an opportunity for you to focus this domain on reselling, via affiliate programs, EDI add ons for popular accounting packages, like Quickbooks and such.
Here is a link to some software, you will have to do the rest if you are interested.....

One final comment, couldn't help it, got curious and looked:
31,400,000 results for "edi" in google
301,000 searches in August at google for "EDI"
So, yeah, I think you have a great domain on your hands.
