According to whois record snacks.com is owned by QuakerOats which is part of PepsiCo.

Whois record shows that snacks.com was created on Tue, Apr 18, 2006, but this is impossible because domain speculators would have bought this A1 name before snacks.net. Snacks.net was created on Wed, May 27, 1998.

Snacks.com is not resolving even though the name is parked on the same nameserver as Quaker Oats's official website.

I suspect that it has dropped and Register.com will have used their technology to acquire it for them.

As for the nameservers... the server has to be set up for the domain for it to produce a page. If you take a look at Apple's domain collection including Newton.com, Apple.biz... they both hold the same nameservers as the Apple.com domain, but they do not resolve.

For the domain name's created date, i have to say that even if the domain has been dropped the created date remains the same as its very first time of registration. i've encountered this issue before. am i wrong here ?

i found about snacks.com while raiding the whois records for food & beverage related names.

i manage to get some but devastated because i'm a bit late for snacks.com
