Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

The singular version is taken but a bit of NameBio-ing shows that the plural has sold more (and for more). Also Google Trends shows that the plural version is being searched more.
I have the singular of this one.
I think plant variety names can be TM'd but because Cannabis is currently federally illegal, it is unable to be TM'd.

I think there will be a legal / TM rush once it becomes legal federally. But as pointed out in the above article, even though a TM has not been issued a name or product can be protected still.
Below is a link to uspto plant patient / TM page.

Doing a bit of research to find keywords that match with the 'ic' suffix, I found the following keywords (or their variations) already being used in companies' names:
I:
Insurance
International
Industry
Information
Integrated
Infusion
Innovation
Inspection
C:
Company
Corporation
Coverage
Consulting
Compliance
Committee
Commission
Cultivation
Centre
Culture
California
Canada
I appreciate if you know more words that fit into this acronym 'ic' that a cannabis business might use. Also, after having so many possible keywords that fit, I'm sure this boosts the probability of getting it sold. But does it increase the price exponentially?
Jay,
Follow the legislation and the state by state rollouts alongside the metrics of typical domain principals.
The both are intertwined; something than many if not most don't understand here.
It's about the volume of permitts and competitive markets ( that will need branding ) as opposed to monopolistic and multi national plays that both the media ( heard about Canopy; Aurora and Cronos enough?) and rockstar sales discussed here are focused on.
Example
Florida is a looser. 13 stupid permitts ( most brandables) with no expansion of the cannabis monopoly theirs 0 sales for us. I mean 0. Unless Gilluam gets in theres a Republican Governor. He will hold back on any new cannabis ventures beyond the 13. Now Michigan. God knows the opportunities. A domain gold mine I predict. Although Kieth feels the market may be different than I predict; so well there's debate. Fyi we both live near each other and watch this closely; Michigan.
So yea metrics and keyword algorithms and such. But equally watch local legislative rollouts and carefully watch the numbers. Unlimited sounds better than 13 like Florida.
Match both domain principals; your research. Then add in practical realistic permitting and end users consuming domains. Theres your market.
Best of luck
Danny
@Jay Ha,
ic = Indica Cartridge (the vape cartridges) are BIG biz. Infused cartridge, infused cookies, candy - etc... it's endless hahaha/
It's a good name to work with, that is for sure.
There also money in hemp.Damn. Cookies, candy, cake, COFFEE, cream, curry(), etc. WHERE DOES IT END?
