Should we avoid Afternic?

On July 26 I sold a domain at Afternic, on July 31 a domain was transferred successfully and the buyer already using the domain. But unfortunately, I did not get my payments yet. It’s upsetting. No support is helping me and I am feeling frustrated, all they are saying "We are investigating this transaction and will provide an update as soon as we are able to."

So what should I do now?

and what is the best alternation in your eyes?

They are big company and I believe they’ll fix eventually. Sometimes when something went wrong, it may take little longer. Let’s hope for the best!

It might be worth calling AN if you’re not getting anywhere via email. I sometimes find them to be more effective this way.

yes,they sent me a email that they have verified the sale and they have send my payment, so within 1-3 days I will get my payments.

it took 1 month and 2 days to send my money.

Yaah think so but it is really unfair to take this much time.

well. an has this network for bin prices. there are people here who sell there regularly. and I met one person here who literally said he wouldnt be making money or domaining at all if it weren't for an network sales. but... that's one person. hardly a statistic nest ce pas...


that being said I dont use my an account for long time. why... because the ui sucks... on all hardware but on phone especially. gd and an have basically the worst most inefficient ui I know of and I seen many. if they do not just move everything to dan and use their ui which is the best ui around... then they will lose all credibility and competence.

hope this helps. I use dan to set bins. which helps me to get on an more limited network. but I'm lazy. I put all names at 20 to 40k each. then again I had a 24k io sale there a
month ago. which obviously I'd not have if my bin was 5 or 10k.. so sometimes being lazy pays bahahahhaha

I made my life's first sale at random for the amount that I putted in without any calc or plan. Now I reached to same situation and probably thats why I am here. One thing I want to add, before started my research and reaching here, first 5 days I waited for domain transfer to be completed, then 3-4 days I waited as they have system default message. Then after I sent a message to TA team, when I didn't get a reply even after a day, I called to their support number, at the moment I talk to them, it felt very responsive and supportive. I quickly received a response also. I am still waiting for my transaction to pass their checks but I believe this is normal for the first sale and even more justified if value is more than a set threshold may be 500 or 1000 usd. But waiting time can be reduced for sure and I believe being a part of @GoDaddy , they must be working on this. I will keep updating for all the developments regarding this so that people like me can be relaxed after their first sale at @Afternic .

can somebody confirm if it is general that Afternic deducted 3500 usd as a commision? It was sold for 25,000.
