On July 26 I sold a domain at Afternic, on July 31 a domain was transferred successfully and the buyer already using the domain. But unfortunately, I did not get my payments yet. It’s upsetting. No support is helping me and I am feeling frustrated, all they are saying "We are investigating this transaction and will provide an update as soon as we are able to."

So what should I do now?

and what is the best alternation in your eyes?

Is this your first sell on AF? All you need to do is waiting for update.

Yes, this is my first sell, it's been so long, yet no payments. Can you please tell me how long it usually takes?

Nowadays, payouts to Afternic Sellers after a successful sale are usually made fairly quickly, sometimes even within a day. And if you use PayPal, you will receive it quickly in your account.

However, there are also known cases where the domain has been transferred to the new registrant for a long time and Seller has to wait a very long time for payout to them. Afternic Transaction Assurance (TA) is then doing an investigation, but it is often unclear why this has to happen. If TA can be more clear about this, fewer people would complain about it on forums like this.

Delays in international payment transactions are also possible, but in that case you must have already received a message from TA that payment has been made.

The payout notifications that you receive by email and the payout info that you see in various places in the Afternic Dashboard can sometimes be out of sync.

@GoDaddy can tell you more.

I have send emails to afternic TA team many times but all they are saying is We are investigating this transaction.
I don't know what they are investigating. This was my first sale on afternic but I can not celebrate it because of this. :xf.cry: Godaddy auction was best for me, I have sold many domains on that platform but sad they closed it for us.

Tell them that you will Boost the commission 5% more if they pay now.

Afternic supports very few payment methods, unlike DAN, which supports BitPay or Payoneer.

Afternic is practically a backward, closed-off, and arrogant company.

So you are saying afternics bast alternative is dan? But aren't they both for godaddy?

It has already been confirmed that DAN.com, which is indeed part of GoDaddy, will disappear as standalone marketplace in the future. No active development is taking place at DAN any longer.

At least that information is clear, but not from Afternic TA.

This is frustrating, as Dan's user experience is obviously better.

Thanks for tagging us, @Future Sensors. Based on the information from @onenasimDomain99 in this thread, it sounds like the Transaction Assurance team for Afternic is doing some extra checks before closing the transaction. While these are relatively rare, they are in place to protect both buyer and seller. Afternic’s team will reach out to you with progress, and you are always able to contact that team directly.

Please feel free to DM us with the domain name so that we can track the progress, too.

@GoDaddy
I'm curious about something. If the name has already been transferred... and the money has already been paid... why would any "extra checks" be necessary? What are you checking for, exactly? Again, just curious.

"it sounds like". Why can DAN communicate so much better than AN? Is GD really killing the right team, on the right side of the pond?

Some hints from doing 1000s of transaction w afternic..

Check your payment methods..do u have a w9 on file. Does the info match up.

You will know more about your case then they do so u have to try to be helpful..they sometimes don't even know what's going on..

Good luck..

I'm outside USA a person, and normally I took payments on my local bank, when godaddy auction has member listing, I have sold couple of domains there and took payment on my same local bank. So I don't think my bank has any issues.
