Hey all you Namepros Teens....I was wondering if it is possible to get setup under the stock market as a teen and be able to buy/sell/trade shares just like an adult if possible or somehow have your parents signup for you and you be able to do it all yourself? I really would like to get into the Stock Market in such as a Mutual Fund or such so I can have several shares.....Does anyone know of a good online/offline place to do so under 18 or have your parents do it somewhat under there name or such?

Regards,
Carsen K.

Who is your broker? And is this available online?

@AzN - How do you do it through a bank? What if I am with USBank? Is that possible?

Yes you can have shares. BUT they would be in your legal gardians name. You would have to get whats called a custodial account. It is an investment account for minors that the legal gardians have control over.

*EDIT: By the way http://sharebuilders.com has custodial accounts*

EDIT: Has anyone used ShareBuilder? Are they are reputable broker?

Most likely for income/tax purposes. If you're using AdSense, it counts as income and you need to take care of taxes accordingly.

Yep...My grandpa wrote a book called "Retire Early, Retire Well" and a quote from it is "The earlier in life you begin an investment program and the more years you allow the investment to compound, the greater your return will be."

EDIT: Hmm I was trying Sharebuilder...I got to the SSN part and B-Day I entered them both and clicked next it said "Your age is not the majority of Idaho"...What is that supose to mean? I can't sell/buy/trade stocks? :(
