shud be worth $XXXXX

I dont think it was a bad price for buyer or seller. This name obviously has great potential to become something great, i'd imagine the buyer will be developing it to cash in on the tourist trade.
Congrats to buyer & seller.
ipodxpert said:As far as developing this name is concerned I think buyer will have tough time because of very well developed Seychelles.com website.Seychelles.com is developed by tourism board of Seychelles.
And for flipping the name instead of development I'm not sure if buyer will be able to sell it for more than the price buyer paid currently i.e. $1050.
6 months from now it could sell for more I guess.
mckennaronnie said:Regards buying to flip then i agree with you, it wouldnt be easy to flip but the buyer also did not overpay IMHO
It was a fair deal for both parties
Regards development, i wouldnt never be put off just becuase the .com was well developed. In most decent Geo's then the .com, .net & even .co.uk, .info and .org are developed. As long as the .tv is not a carbon copy of the .com then it has a chance of making their mark but Geo development is a hard business that requires much more than just a domain & a nice site.
If i'm not mistaken then the buyer is a NP member but i'll leave that to the member to announce. If im correct then this member is a proven developer who will go into development with a very well researched business plan.
ipodxpert said:If buyer doesn't develop the name then buyer can hold the name for 6 months to 1 year before flipping for good profit since the yearly renewal fees is just $262 compare to other similar geo name's renewal fees.
Personally,I think buyer will be able to sell the name for decent profit in 1 year itself because of nice geo & low renewal fees.
mckennaronnie said:i'm almost sure the buyer wont be flipping but if he does decide to then the renewal fee is not too large so shouldnt scare buyers away like i have been from many Geo's of late.
Though Geo's are not as easy to sell as many think, i personally own geo's that have been appraised at $xx,xxx and have received only 1 offer for every 12 months i've owned them.
More & more the Geo buyers are avoiding Premium domains on the aftermarket to pay a little more and get non premiums of similar quality.
.tv said:Yes,
I agree with Ronnie.
Geo .TV names with premium renewals are struggling to fetch a good profit.
Recently Goiania.TV went for $2,550 at Sedo (non-premium).

No wonder ones like scottish.TV at $500 yearly reg fee is still available.
Is your one a premium reg fee Ronnie ?
PS - I'm no longer a .TV viginI just bought my first two but can't say what they are just now
