We will be running some server maintenance for the next few weeks and you may experience some temporary outages or pages loading funny. Please bear with us as we isolate a few areas of our code and make some much needed updates.

Update: We've successfully retired the gerbils running in the server wheel and upgraded to a team of stallions. :P The Primary Maint. of changing servers is now complete. Please report / post any issues you may be experiencing in this thread. It would be extremely helpful if you can include screenshots, browser + version, operating system, and as much detail as possible about the issue / bug you encountered.

As for the New posts
I just hit the button beside the usercp - I just did it now and all the pages are still gone from earlier and yesterday, even though I never left page 1
and only about 5 threads from 5:55pm - PST time to now
so about 20 mins - but all the ones from earlier have disappeared.

Yeah, looks like it clearly at that time, perhaps daily. That's just how vBulletin, our forum software, works. If you bribe us techies with cookies, we'll upgrade to something with more awesome power.

Are you getting that after writing a message and clicking send, or before you even get a chance to write a message? If the former, is there any code-like text in your message, subject, etc.?

Confirmed, I'm getting a 502 error on both front and backend ip checks as well. We'll look more into this today hopefully.

I got 502 after just hitting refresh after being away from computer for few hours, I had domain discussion open, hit refresh and got 502 Bad Gateway.

We're now trying to rebuild the search index. There is a lot of data to be indexed, so the database server is having a hard time. We're trying a few different approaches until we find one that doesn't bring the forums crashing down.

Woke up this morning, and I tried login into my namepros, but was met with a blank screen asking me to wait for 5 seconds while the server checks my browser?? I normaly use operamini mobile, but now I cant anymore, as the 5seonds wont end..I had to switch to a laptop to post this, please help. Thank you.

Last 7 days, the icons tend to disappear too often. I can refresh the page, and they appear. Then on the next refresh they are gone again.

You have been flagged as a "slightly suspicious" user. The idea is that a proper browser would pass the test, while a spambot wouldn't. Your browser can't pass the test, so clearly, you're a spambot.

I've tested that system a bit, and it works fine for me, but I can't say I've tried it in Opera Mini. Mini is stripped down, sort of like how a spambot would be. Opera Mobile, on the other hand, is a bit more featureful, and would likely pass the test.

I've lowered the aggressiveness of that system a bit. Hopefully you'll be able to get through now. Unfortunately, we do have to leave it enabled, as we do have a serious spambot problem (like all forums).

Sounds like a caching issue. We'll be moving shortly to a new CDN, which is much more powerful and won't run into these inconsistencies. Our new web server is perfectly capable of handling the load on its own, in fact, so we might even disable the CDN altogether for the time being. Either of those options should permanently solve this issue.

It partially a client-side issue, however, which means you can adjust your browser to fix it. Ctrl + Shift + R should refresh the page in such a way that Chrome won't use its cache; this works most of the time. Another option is to clear your cache, but that can slow down browsing temporarily, so I wouldn't recommend it unless the problem continues.

Update: We've switched to a new CDN now; let me know if that helps.

Is this immediately after you change it? Next time it happens, leave it as-is, and send me a PM, or contact me on Skype (earth2me). I find it odd that it gets truncated at the first space; that's quite suspicious. I don't think it's related to the server migration, though. (We've uncovered a lot of pre-existing bugs during this process.)

Not having this problem in the STS thread.
Like I say, it's intermittent.

What URL are you at when this happens? I see an issue in associated JavaScript that might cause this if you were at certain URLs.

Update: I think I fixed the problem; let me know if it works. It might take up to an hour for the changes to propagate.

Apparently that's not the case in this instance since I never received your message. In addition, we notice that you got a slightly different error this time than last time. So back to drawing board we go.

I modified a rather restrictive signature setting that was a bit... useless. Hopefully that fixed it.

I made some optimizations to how our forum software handles private messages. See if it works better now.
