We will be running some server maintenance for the next few weeks and you may experience some temporary outages or pages loading funny. Please bear with us as we isolate a few areas of our code and make some much needed updates.

Update: We've successfully retired the gerbils running in the server wheel and upgraded to a team of stallions. :P The Primary Maint. of changing servers is now complete. Please report / post any issues you may be experiencing in this thread. It would be extremely helpful if you can include screenshots, browser + version, operating system, and as much detail as possible about the issue / bug you encountered.

Yes it's clear that you should give more priority to Firefox, Safari, Opera ?

Mostly Chrome and mobile at the moment Granted, we're not doing a great job of supporting those, either. We're just trying to get by until we've finished switching servers. One step at a time. Better IE support is definitely on the todo list, and I hope you'll find that it has improved recently.

Sorry, that was a quick stress test. We beat the server over the head until it fell over, then observed how long it took for it to get back up.

Between 11pm & 12am cst there's scheduled maint.that happens every night. it may be related to that. However, we'll keep an eye on it. Let us know if it happens again in another 30 minutes or so.

Just tested Thanks on a test account on your post in IE and it seems to be working. Is there a specific forum not allowing it for you?

Update: Keep in mind, you can't rep the same people multiple times and need to rep several others before you can rep the same people again

Can you take a screenshot of the message .. I cant seem to replicate it using IE8... The reason I want to see if I can duplicate the error so i know if it's isolated to your browser or if its a wide spread issue ..

Update: @Cyberian just tested IE / Chrome / FF and all three liked Paul fine, I also see that you liked paul to just fine.. is the problem fixed?

That wasn't a beta version, that was a stripped down patch attempt at the original version, which didn't work out to good. The chat system still has a lot of security flaws we are looking into. There's no eta on any repairs as we have some higher priority things being worked on at the moment.

Question about the New Posts button...or time to view them?

noticed recently that when I login and have 3 or 4 pages of "new posts" to view...
When I go into one thread to see updates and come back out - all the New Post pages are all gone
and the New Posts have reset back to zero - never got a chance to view any of them??

It wasn't stripped down. It was a newer version of the one that we used to have. However, there were some important flaws, so we disabled it for the time being.

Could you take a screenshot, including the address bar with the URL of the current page? That sounds like a CloudFlare issue, so I'll report it to them. You could also try pressing Ctrl + Shift + R (forced refresh, no cache) to see if that fixes it.

How are you getting to the list of new posts? There are a few different lists that are slightly different. The new posts list linked to from the menu at the top of each page (right after User CP and FAQ) essentially just lists the most recent posts. Posts shouldn't disappear from the list until they get pushed off the end by newer posts. Again, you can try Ctrl + Shift + R in Firefox to clear your cache for the page.

As for the New posts
I just hit the button beside the usercp - I just did it now and all the pages are still gone from earlier and yesterday, even though I never left page 1
and only about 5 threads from 5:55pm - PST time to now
so about 20 mins - but all the ones from earlier have disappeared.

I did post the message I was getting but here it is in a screen shot
