Seriously, who are the Mods of the .TV Forum?

It seems that these days certain threads that get started in the TV Forum go into "pending approval from a mod". I started a sales thread on the 23rd April, it went to "needing moderation". After not seeing my thread or getting a PM back I decided to PM both the TV Forum Mods listed asking the status & what's going on. 4 days later I am still awaiting a reply from either one of these Mods. Anybody else have these issues or is it just me?

Seriously, why do we have mods who I have yet to see post in the TV Forum & actually reply back to PMs? I say bring back "Equity" as the TV Forum mod!

I’ve had similar problems with that 2 weeks ago or something. Than one mod (not from .tv subforum) cleared it up to me – that Pending approval from a mod status is because of fighting with spamers, etc.

Everything seems to be OK for me, but other funny thing. In Dot TV Owners social group, I’ve made a post (April 24) in the thread created by me, and till today this post is under This Message is Moderated status
I see that post with this statement – but nobody else can see it.

It makes holding a discussion almost impossible.

I agree. Especially if you spend quite a bit of time creating a reply post or starting a sales thread & it goes into "moderation" for 5 days or more, who knows how long....

But it would also be great if .TV Forum mods are actually contributors of that forum too....

I've noticed it especially with posts containing links (even other, relevant thread links) ... perhaps a slight review and modification, but I definitely don't want to see it go backwards with any change in current Mod's / Staff™, IMHO. :gl:
Often times, the #1 .TV Forum™ is the place to be! :talk: :imho:

The spam software saves us hours of moderating. The amount of time we now spend approving posts/threads is considerably less than the amount of time we spent cleaning up the spam.

I understand the frustration you are expressing in the wait time for approvals. I will remind the NP Team the importance of checking in on the approvals as often as they can. If need be we will add another moderator to that forum, who is able to be a little more active.

As for having moderators that contribute to the .TV forum, we have made the choice intentionally to have moderators who have a completely neutral view of the .TV extension, for the simple reason that they can moderate by the rules and not by any level of emotion.

Can we have posts with extraordinary numbers of smiley images moderated?

I have friends with epilepsy - these images really are NOT cool.

I have had some posts on various threads not show up due to moderating - it's annoying in the middle of a conversation.

However, I appreciate the task that the mods have and I'm sure that you're working hard to get the appropriate balance which is appreciated by all.

I know it can be annoying waiting for posts to be reviewed, but you can see why it has to be done to stop spammers.

I went from getting about 1-2 a day.. to 0 but I haven't posted quite as much. I do think it appears to be less frequent though based on the fact that I haven't had one.

Hopefully you have not seen an increase in spam to remove. It's all a tough balancing act.

I can't believe it...but even My recent Posts have all went thru so I would have to say the changes you've implemented have definitely worked.

Although passions can still run high at times (sometimes requiring additional moderation in order to keep things balanced and on topic), I think the changes have been successful and are working well and would consider the issue to be resolved at this time, IMHO. :gl: :talk:
