i contacted a big company producing the <generic product name>.com, just asked for $200 as i brought it for less than $15 few days back. (tdnam closeouts, registered three years back)
(i have emailed so many people asking to give offers on domains but no reply so this time started to give the price tag)

now they say they are interested to proceed. asking me to prove the ownership to facilitate the sale.
Shall i show the whois info though domaintools.com (or shall i show though someother place as domaintools shows otherinfo such as the number of domains i got) and ask them to email to the email address i have in the registrant details to confirm the ownership.

its currently with namedrive. shall i move my domain to sedo and ask them to go though sedo. or any need to go though escrow. its just $200 so i personally dont find the need to go though escrow if they are happy to proceed direct once proving the ownership by paying me via paypal.

what are your thoughts and suggestions

if you go direct at least require some payment first before you push it to them.

Say to them "Please send an email to the listed whois account so I can prove ownership" Or if this is 100% legit, fax them a copy of a drivers license, so they can match it with the whois info.

Just tell them you where the domain is registered and whether they want a transfer or a push and they will tell you.
They will approach you if they need proof of ownership of the domain, but if you let them pay afterwards, they will not worry about it anyway.
You said you approached a big company, so they will pay, unless they go broke.
I would not ask them to pay first or escrow.

Domainers may be a bit too scared of scammers. If you approach big companies, you have to be a bit more lenient. If someone approaches you, then things are different.

If it's still at TDNAM,how about go through itself(As its not that big,so commission fee should be low) !
List it at TDNAM with “Buy Now Option” option and tell them to proceed there.

Update#
Just need to know who does charge lower commission for low budget transaction ? :)
