Lets say i own ripwear.com well i do...
And someone contacts me about the name. How do i know what kind of price to send to the buyer.
Sometimes they ask for a price and i usually write make an offer. The thing is it's usually a very low offer. Should i just have a set price that i'm willing to sell at or?
I have had a 2k offer on the name. The thing is some enduser might be able to buy it for more and i have seen worse names sell for a lot more...
what about clap.com ?
I know moin.com is for sale for 1 milion us (contacted him)
Should i set a high price and hope for a good end user...

Well it suits me more because i don't have time to buy and sell names all the time if i only make $50 (takes to much of my time) and i rather develop names...

If I were you, I'd just set a price that I would be happy to sell at, then multiply that by 2, to give room for negotiation.

You should at least set a price that you think will be negotiable. If you only tell someone to make you an offer then they will come in as low as possible to begin. Set a price that is within reason but one that allows room to maneuver.

I would say experience and research are the ways to find out a fair value for your domains in a lot of cases.

By using the tools availabe you could find the prices of previous sales for domains which are similar to yours. Then I'd find out how much use it has within its category. If it also has high search volumes you would adjust the price accordingly. By this time your price should be a well worked out price and you would know you're not under selling it.
