I got a random email (in Chinese) inquiring about one of my domains. I only speak english and past emails that I have recevied in Chinese have been spammy.

I answered this one, only saying, Yes, its for sale. You can deposit to my paypal and give me your account info for push. A few days later I get another email. This time from 4.cn saying a buyer is interested in my domain.

I opened an account at 4.cn and they started the transaction immediately. Now just waiting for the buyer to deposit the funds.

Really weird, but it looks like it will complete. I had never used 4.cn before and surprisingly, the domain is a short LNNN.com (with a 4). So it should be a good deal for me as the price is somewhat retail.

Just thought I would share.

4.cn is great. Other than West.xyz it is the only Chinese sales platform that non-Chinese can list on (without a fraudulent or surrogate account). The English interface makes it very easy to use and the brokers there are both fluent in English (more or less) and eager to help.

In addition to Mike's comments above on BIN sales, I have done well with bulk sales for low-value names. I sold a couple hundred 4L.nets (non-chips) there with bulk sales.

can you say more what you mean by bulk sales? I have ~100 4l.net non chips also that I'd love to sell.. what price bin ranges did you set? I am not sure I saw any bulk selling options there, and yet here you are saying bulk sales. thanks a lot.

Once you have the domains added to your account, go to "My Domains" and add them again in the search box. Select all of them and go to the bottom. You should see a button for bulk sales. Hit that and it should take you to a page where you can set the price and add a description. You will need to have 400 cny in your account to fund the sale.

I sold mine in batches of 100 right before they expired. But if I only had 100 to sell, and I wasn't in a hurry, I'd probably list them in batches of 10.

What are you referring to regarding West.xyz? I've been looking at the site and cannot find anything about listing domains for sale.

If you have an account, go into your control panel. Click Marketplace on the left > As the Seller > To Sell.

so if I got it right... the market type one can list on on west.xyz has nothing to do with the market on 4.cn right? I would assume many more visitors view domains and chance to sell is on 4.cn right?

I found a very nice site where non-Chinese can also register an account, list, and which has an English version available via a link at the top of the page there:

www.GOLDXF.com - YJIN INVEST / YiJinNet

(Shenzhen Yijin Investment Management Co., Ltd.)

To my knowledge you have to request a listing for Domain Brokerage Services and cannot just list by yourself automatically, however. The types of listings handled also appear to be highly specialized.

It's the same marketplace. Everything listed on west.xyz is listed on west.cn, and vice versa. West.xyz is just the English interface for west.cn

I sold a lot on 4.cn

Nice and smooth

Lwmp.net got over 200$

The point on 4.cn is

You have to add fund before you get any attration
If you have an account and you added some money to your account thant set up bin
The most views and traffic

You have to add funds as the seller? How does 4.cn treat a seller with funds and a seller without funds? How much funds do you need to add? $1? $1000?

It's 400 CNY for a bulk sale and 1000 CNY for a bin sale.

Chinese business culture is different than the west. As I understand it, it is not so unethical to back out of a deal. My assumption is the funds are required by sellers to cover any costs and penalties of deals that failed due to the seller.

Buyers have to deposit funds too.

OK. Thanks for that update.

i hope it just an Opening shot for you @Silentptnr...

i also have an account in 4.cn. there is a huge traffic there. i list a 4l.net not a chip one in the 'showcase' auction and i have less then a week 2000 views.... this is realy great option. you get the home page exposure in just $0.6 that they take from your deposit in case you don't sale and only 8% commission (less the flippa, sedo and of course from godaddy). my advice for new users is to deposit alot more then 400 rmb ($57) because you need to make a deposit almost for every move you make there: to place an offer, for auction, to list your domains for showcase or for BIN.... you can do it via paypal but the problem is that it take to 4.cn team alot of time to add it to your account. i send them email every time that i add funds. it happend to me few times that i saw an auction with realy nice domain and a low price that have few hours left and my account balance was zero. (sorry if my grammar is sucks, english is not my native language)

Also don't forget to promote your 4.cn listings via the Chinese version of Namepros

And if you don't want to go thru the Chinese language learning curve. Go to FIVERR.CON hire a Chinese interpreter to create an account for themselves in domain.cn.

Find an interpreter located in China.

Once they have account. Try to bargain with them to post for you at $5-$10 a post.

Maximize paying for such a service by mentioning more than one domain listing . Like 10 or 20 or hey maybe even 100.

That way comes out cheap.
