Selling corporations their stock symbols

I recently won a CCVC.com in auction. I bid pretty high on it because the acronym happens to be the stock ticker of a 10 billion dollar Indian company. Have any of you had luck selling large corporations their stock symbols? How would you guys recommend I approach this Indian giant -- e-mail, fax, telephone, or via broker?

Would deeply appreciate any help.

You are running yourself right into a UDRP if you ask me.

Really? The acronym is pretty ubiquitous and can stand for a number of well-known things. It also looks like MSFT.COM and GOOG.COM are not owned by Microsoft or Google, respectively.

Well, owners of MSFT.COM and GOOG.COM are probably NOT contacting
Microsoft or Google if they are smart.

I have LLLL .com sort of like your situation. It's multi billions international
corp with headquarter located in USA. Their URL is extremely long and
they call themselves as LLLL as well as many of their form start with LLLL.
People call them LLLL ;)

I asked many professional domainers and they all said...
Contact them if you are willing to sell for less than $1,500 which is cost of UDRP fee :D

Wow, thanks for helpful info, copper. Rep. added.

The key difference between your situation and mindeis that this corporation actually uses a completely different, 3-letter abbreviation as its nickname. I Googled around a bit and found a couple of press reports that referred to this corp. by the 4-letter name I registered, plus observed that acronym also happens to be the group's stock ticker. I figured that, with 10 billion in the coffers and me planning on offering them name for five figures (0.0001% of their capital) on the basis that it may pose some ancillary benefits to them, I didn't think they'd have the will or basis to invoke the UDRP on it.

Thanks for sharing your experience, though. I'll research the topic further before taking any action. If I did sell them the name for $1500 that would still turn me a pretty nice profit margin (plus a good lesson learned) regardless.
