Hey folks,

I have a potential buyer for one of my more premium domains. I can tell he has a limited knowledge of english, but he agreed to pay the asking price of the domain. He asked me to call him over the phone so I used a calling card, dialed his # and got in touch with him but I don't think he understands me when I speak over the phone.

I am at a stand-still... any suggestions? :td:

Thanks,

- Greg

Get someone in India to help you contact him. Pay them a small fee for the communication. Put up this offer in the Wanted section.

Why do you need to talk to him? I have never had to talk to someone to sell a domain. That was bad enough, but then you had to call him? This is not your standard sale, that is for sure.
I hate to be negative, but I think you are setting yourself up. Where someone lives has never been a factor when selling a domain, not in this age of computers. He doesn't have email? You can't communicate on the internet?
If you can't communicate with him this way, does that mean he doesn't have a computer? If he doesn't have a computer, then why does he need a domain?
I may be way off base here, but it just doesn't add up. Sounds like he gonna ask you if he can make payments! :notme:

It is quite possible for an Indian like me not to understand anything if an Aussie or an American or a British talk to me over the phone :) So I believe the guy might be having a real interest in your domain despite his bad english. I will suggest you to ask him to communicate over messenger and email. But if he says 'No Escrow' or 'No Wire Transfer', ask him humbly to go to hell
;)

You'd better use the IM soft.eg MSN & ICQ

please study the english contact.after,go on sale.

My english is poor...so I only want to study a simple contact style.

I know the english is very important.espcialy in domain state.

Greg - The best way to communicate would be via e-mail if he doesn't understand your accent over the phone. Ask him whether he is willing to use Escrow.com and split the fees.
It is very much possible that he is legit and is facing language and communication problems.

I also live in India, so just shoot me a PM if you need any help, forget the communication fee
