Edit: Mods, stuff like this only perpetuates the "Namepros Nancy", complains about everything, perception of this forum. This should be a place where real issues are brought to light. It's a shame to have this thread as the most active topic today.

We also voted “no” in the same poll. The poll has nothing to do with this matter. We did not find the picture disturbing either.

if one looks thru NP there are many mod postings/statements noting that anyone is allowed to join NP, and post here, as it's a open forum. There has 'never' been stated/implied etc. that it's only for professionals. And if so, so suddenly, what is the criteria for being such?

Who are you even? Which mod/member are you? Everybody else here, over time you can figure out who they are, usually doing a simple whois check. And you have access to other info to figure out who people are.

So you know everybody you're talking to, most have no idea who you are. That's not "professional".

Those rules don't mention anywhere anything about avatars. It doesn't say it is for pros either, as professional attitude is not the same as being domain pro. Professional attitude doesn't preclude usage of fun avatars.

You concluding from everything people wrote here on 4 pages that we all "are coming here to look at avatars" shows that you still don't get it.

The issue is you policing something that has nothing to do with professionalism on someone's reporting when half of the forum has the very same thing. The issues you trying to be Linkedin, while a) Linkedin is not enforcing avatars; b) Linkedin expects real names, while here is it is mostly usernames.

Consistency is the key. People still like the forum but you are at the beginning of the end, as many users that I really enjoyed reading have left the forum and others have virtually stopped. There are literally 5-6 users here that I still come to enjoy reading. Once they are gone, I am out of here too...

Though I enjoyed the first Monsters Inc. film immensely, the second one I remember being not very good at all.

The fact is Monsters Inc. is based on scaring innocent people, primarily children!!! The fear of the children is syphoned by the monsters to create energy! Oh no!

I wonder if this would have got me suspended or something.. like im here for 5 years.. make it to top10 in all categories, posts likes etc.. and then they get you for a clown face... ah the irony... zero respect for people who make np what it is.
