It's been about a week since SEDO informed that "the buyer has been invoiced and once we receive the funds, we can proceed with the transfer..."

I thought, why not e-mail and ask what's going on.

They claim the transaction is still a GO, they are waiting until the funds are secured. It just seems like a LONG time to secure funds in this day and age??

And, more good news > SEDO sent me an e-mail advising of a coming PARKING payment!

They continue to pay, like they say they do. :)

Keep it up SEDO!

I just sold a domain that took about 3 days on Sedo from start to finish, but the last one took about a week or two to get settled. Sedo has been very reliable as far as payments go...

I've already sold on Sedo with no problems.
From the moment you have reached an agreement on the price you may have to wait for a while (took about 8 days for me).
Depending on the amount it can involve an international bank transfer on the part of the buyer.
I believe the buyer can settle with a credit card, maybe up to a certain amount.
Also there may be a few more exchanges of E-mail to get the job done: receive confirmation from Sedo, lift registrar-lock, push domain to another account if customer asks so etc...

Usually it is not the fault of sedo. It is the buyer not paying or the domain transfer taking a while.

Yeah, has anyone ever actually had trouble getting paid by Sedo (besides when the buyer backs out)?

I've always gotten my payments quickly for sold domain names, and my parking payments are paid on the dot every month, with no problem.

i sold a domain on Sedo and it took 3 weeks for the buyer to pay me. Not realy a problem but just an anxiety issue in the payment.

2 SEDO deals recently - both quick

For both transactions, both were done within a week. Longest part of transaction was Buyer paying SEDO. Pretty quick overall I thought.....

The SEDO commission is well worth it in my opinion too!
