.mobi Sedo .mobi Premium Auction Fiasco

This is the response I got from mTLD re this fiasco, waiting for an email from Pinky or somebody for further explanation. This is in response to my question, why would Sedo post this in their newsletter. Maybe Sedo was premature with their announcement, maybe they could not agree on terms? Would like to get further details anyone else have anything?

It was an error on their part.

We were in initial discussions but the project has been shelved for now.

Hello.

Caroline Greer forwarded me your email. As an FYI, Pinky is off-site and
not available to address this.

While I understand your frustration, I can say simply that we had
exploratory discussions with Sedo but nothing had been finalized. Sedo
accidentally released a statement; however, there is no current auction
planned with Sedo.

We chose not to address this with "names" in our blog entry because this
story was only released to a select group of Sedo customers and was done
so without malice.

I thank you for your understanding and have also cc'd Sedo's CEO, Tim
Schumacher, so he is aware of your concerns.

Again, thank you for support of -- and excitement about -- the .mobi
domain.
