Sedo just added .app support

Wonder if using their nameservers with an .app domain will work? I can't check yet as my domains are in review.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
My guess: parking companies do not expect a lot of type-in traffic on .app domains. So why bother.
It's the HTTPS enforcement that is the problem here. It's not the fact that the extension is '.app'.

Of course. But the other extensions do not require SSL to serve parking pages.
There is virtually no traffic to be tapped and monetized here, so no incentive for parking companies to accommodate the SSL requirement.
What remains are possible sales (during hype phase, that is a few weeks). This is for Sedo and the like, not for companies like Voodoo.

Considering the entire internet is moving to HTTPS and Google has been advocating their preference of HTTPS and has been using it as a ranking signal since 2014 I'd suggest that they're going to lose a lot of type-in traffic and organic traffic respectively if they don't get moving on supporting HTTPS.

Due to the evolution of technology. Odds are it won't be long before https (SSL) starts being required by browsers on all domain extensions.

It is a requirement in HTTP 2.0 too...

Verified - as of now.
And listing works...
Mine as well on the verification.

On the listing working... Do you mean with sedo nameservers?

No, I mean just URL forwarding to Sedo listing.

https://http2.github.io/faq/#does-http2-require-encryption

Does HTTP/2 require encryption?

No. After extensive discussion, the Working Group did not have consensus to require the use of encryption (e.g., TLS) for the new protocol.

However, some implementations have stated that they will only support HTTP/2 when it is used over an encrypted connection, and currently no browser supports HTTP/2 unencrypted.

Guess, will have to allow at least 24 hours for better propagation.
Happy to report that all my domains are forwarding / redirecting fine to my undeveloped pages. Some of these domains are at name and dynadot and NO, I have not purchased SSL. The ones with GD came with a free SSL but I did not need to implement them after this.

So far the best, free and easy solution to the .app domain forwarding issue. Thanks a bunch @Michael M.

Sedo has verified our domains already, but we use our own parking site, like you can see here:
