Sedo Has Not Paid for Weeks! (Bye Bye Sedo)

I sold a domain via Sedo on December 23rd.

On December 30th, I received a notification titled "Credit note created."
On January 2nd, I received notifications titled "Payment taken place" and "This transaction has been closed."

My bank account details are registered, and I have received payments to this account from Afternic many times before.

Since January 2nd, I have corresponded and spoken with Sedo numerous times.
  • First, they said they made the payment.
  • I asked for a receipt, but they didn't send one.
  • Then they said, "We will send it back to you when the payment reaches us."
  • I said, "If you can't send it to my bank account, send it via PayPal."
It's been over 3 weeks.
I haven't received a payment or a receipt.
They only respond with, "We will pay you when the money is returned to us."

I ask, "If you made the payment, where is the receipt?"
They haven't sent the payment or the receipt for weeks.

I have been a member of Sedo for almost 20 years.
This is the first time this has happened to me.
I think something isn't right with Sedo.

Afternic is sending payment in same day, but what do you think of Sedo's delaying tactics?

I think it's time to say goodbye to old-generation aftermarket platforms.
What do you recommend?
Atom, Spaceship SellerHub, Unstoppable Domains, Afternic, or Fruits?

There are similar complaints on other complaint platforms recently.
I'm going to park all my domains on other platforms.

Bye bye Sedo!

I noticed that their last reply on Trustpilot is on Nov 27, their representative(s) vanished from here earlier. Something's cooking, Sedo is for sale after all.

edit: apparently they needed some nudging!

Following this response, they replied to my complaint on TrustPilot. Of course, it was just another delaying tactic!

I don't believe Sedo sent the money.
Because they haven't sent the receipt for a month.
I've asked them to send the receipt many times.
They're stalling.

Even if this is a bank issue, they should send the receipt.

I made two sales at sedo after 23rd and both got payed. Saying that you used that bank account multiple times with afternic, that means it's the first time you used it at sedo, so it could be a bank issue, or a mistake, theirs or yours with the details.
From time to time there are some issues, mostly buyers issues, but mostly are payed in 2-3 days.
On the other hand, you are talking about afternic one day payout. I've received, rarely, that's true, the payment in one day with sedo, but never with afternic. My average payout time at afternic is 11 days. Last two were like 3 weeks one of them and now one started on 7 January and still going. Using the same logic, I would say that for sure something is wrong with afternic.

Bank error, user error, or Sedo's error.
Whatever the problem is.
Is waiting a month normal?

And they still haven't given a payment date.
They say, "Whenever the bank pays us back."
I don't believe Sedo has sent money.
Because they haven't sent a receipt for a month.

Probably they sent it to the wrong place and they can't send you the receipt proving that they did it. Being the first time you have used that bank account with them, it's possible.I had an issue like this, around 45 days, once with sedo and once with afternic, but it was because the buyers were late to move transfer the domains. If it happens more often, than it's a cause of concern, if it's once a year or so, it's understandable. Thinking back, we regret even more dan.com, because it didn't happened at them, they were more customer oriented.

Sedo replied to my last message 5 days later and sent the money.
Something clearly went wrong, but the payment arrived.
