For those of you who don't know - here is part of an email I received from eNom:

**************
This is a formal notice to owners of domains which have been registered through eNom via its reseller, RegisterFly.com.

YOU MUST TAKE ACTION NOW TO RETAIN FULL MANAGEMENT RIGHTS TO YOUR DOMAIN NAME.

Although you purchased your name at RegisterFly, eNom is the actual registrar of record for your domains. As we are severing our relationship with RegisterFly, we are aware that this may have an impact on you as the domain owner.

Yes I got this email too. They said I only have 2 domains with registerfly but I actually have 404 domains! So I don't know how to correct this, I have sent enom an email about it to sort this out.

I know now why enom only think I have 2 domains at registerfly, for some reason my domain contact details are not being updated when I submit bulk changes. Does anyone know how to get my contact info changed for registerfly domains? Their script really sucks, how can I fix this ?

Just got my notice. Only 5 domains left with RegFly. Have been moving them away over last few months, maybe I didn't need to.

Got it as well, seems Enom is doing a good job stepping in to take control. I'd feel terrible if I was Registerfly though, Enom really gave them a good, direct beating!

This has to be crap.

I haven't received the email. I bet lots of other people haven't.

This sounds like a fishing attempt...

EDIT: I don't think Enom is the sponsoring registrar for RegisterFly

I have names at Namecheap & Registerfly. The whois on my Namecheap name actually says that Enom is the ICann registrar. The name with Regfly doesn't.

Careful guys, I am betting (until I hear otherwise) that this is a scam / fishing attempt.

Just my $ 0.02

RegisterFly previously was a reseller of enom, now they are accredited registrar, but some domains still staid with enom. Enom didn't get all of the domains, only the domain that were registered before RegisterFly got accredited, other are still with Registerfly.

I believe that RegFly used to simply be an Enom reseller and that mid last year they became a registrar themselves.
The last few renewals that I did with RegFly were actually processed as transfers from Enom to RegFly (got a transfer approval email)
I'm guessing that the domains being transfered away from RegFly are ones that haven't been renewed (and transfered from Enom) since that change over.

The full email is:

This is a formal notice to owners of domains which have been registered through eNom via its reseller, RegisterFly.com.

YOU MUST TAKE ACTION NOW TO RETAIN FULL MANAGEMENT RIGHTS TO YOUR DOMAIN NAME.

Although you purchased your name at RegisterFly, eNom is the actual registrar of record for your domains. As we are severing our relationship with RegisterFly, we are aware that this may have an impact on you as the domain owner.
Therefore we would like to offer this opportunity to assist you in securing control of your domain name directly with eNom.

Over the last year, eNom has become aware of an increasing number of complaints from dissatisfied RegisterFly customers.

As an eNom reseller, RegisterFly is contractually bound to adhere to certain standards of customer service in a speedy and diligent manner. Therefore, effective immediately, we have terminated RegisterFly as a reseller of domain names through eNom.

Our records indicate that you are the registrant contact for [number removed] domains.

HOW TO SECURE CONTROL OF YOUR DOMAIN NAMES

Create a free account at eNom using the link below. Your domain names will automatically be moved to the eNom control panel where you will immediately have the ability to manage your domain(s).
In addition, these domains will receive a discounted renewal rate.

[link removed]

There is no charge for this service, as eNom is already the registrar of record for your domains. Please reference our list of frequently asked questions page http://www.enom.com/migrate/faq.asp for additional information.
We look forward to helping you feel more secure about your domain management.

eNom, Inc.
http://www.eNom.com
former registrar for RegisterFly.com

P.S.: IMPORTANT! If no action is taken, you may no longer be able to renew your domain name or manage it in 30 days.
The domain name will remain registered in your name at eNom until it expires. Please take action immediately. Thank you.

RegisterFly.com doesn't work anymore either. The good news is that any of your RegFly domains are now a bit safer. The bad news is that it will cost you $30 a year to renew them with eNom...

Ah, that would likely be it.

When was the transition to being fully accredited?

Yeah, Enom's pricing is terrible, but at least we don't need to worry about bad service. Did anyone notice in the FAQ they mentioned they can recover expired domains? Would be useful for those who were unable to contact registerfly to get their 'missing' domains back

I've went through the transition process, but haven't had my name transferred yet to the enom account. Guess it will take a few hours...

This is not good. Do I understand this correctly....

Only the domains previously registered through regfly when they were using enom as their registrar are now transferable to enom.

Domains registered with regfly after they got their own accreditation aren't able to be auto transferred to enom. (If this is the case, and regfly is failing...what happens to the domains?)
