I submitted domain cobotcompanies.com for Sedo Great Domain Auction but it got rejected with reason (Criteria not met), the domain is definitely of good quality because based on my keyword research those exact words are regularly searched which also showed good bid amount from advertisers.

I believe domain also has commercial value, what am I missing? Is the decision automatically made by algorithm and is it possible that high quality domains gets rejected due to some glitch in the algorithm?

I am looking forward to get advise and constructive responses to help me decide domain that has more chances of getting accepted.

Thanks

Sedo accepts 200-300 domains I think, and your competitors have much better (less niche) domains, although there are always some head-scratchers in their auctions, and I don’t mean German words.

can you give some examples and why do you think mine is less niche?

No spoon-feeding, search for previous auctions. They don’t get many eyeballs anyway, so there is no point in submitting domains that aren’t ”open vessels”, suitable for many industries. Or category-killers.

As for your domain, I can see value in the singular version, but who would use the plural? Are there so many cobot companies that a search or aggregator site is needed? Other possibilities?

why not? there are few at least with high possibility of having many more in future and cobot companies can be the place to visit straight instead.

I think the best use case would be a portfolio site to showcase many cobot-related domain names for sale. But I really can’t see anyone paying top dollar for it.

For comparison, check on the Wayback Machine how (and how little) robotcompanies .com has been used.

I submitted domain
Hi

basically, it got rejected because it's not a great domain by any standard.

they, like us, probably figured that no company/service would use that domain as a brand or as their company name.

as is, who knows what "cobot" is or refers to?

imo...

A "working with" term. Now named in commercial floor cleaning, and that I have happened to watch in-person.

As per the collaborative cobot meaning ;

On topic of naming "cobotcompanies"

IMHO appears geared to industry, more than a consumer market (commonly factory processes)

Considering "cobotcompanies" now phrase-style. Forward of initial lead-in, connects with "companies" a bit under.

Reading in natural progression. It's great to give a marked message reaction. Although questions instead revolved around having some strong clear purposeful intentions.

To add more insight. I submitted a 1 word, 5L .net domain. It is an English word, not misspelled and was rejected. They can be very strict with what they accept.

And finicky. Mind if I ask as a holder what is your view on .io ?

I've always thought they are tech-niche. But it seems there's always exceptions.

Considering getting a few but looking at renewal prices ($50 - $60) tends to put a pause. Of course if you buy an let go at some future point, they might be likely to gain greater exposure via registrar expiration auction.

Definitely finicky but I personally like .io. You’re right though, more for tech related names but it also depends on the domain name. If it’s a one word English domain it could be great and not need to be necessarily tech related.

Look at the top 10 median sales blog post that @Bob Hawkes posted to see how the domains are performing!

They accept mostly one real word or 4 letters domains for great domain auction.

Sedo also promotes .DE domains on their Great Domain Auction

I have had many Premium Domains Rejected by them while they choose these average dot DE names

At Reserves between $25,000 - $50,000

They have Berlin.Club selling at $25,000

Meanwhile they reject our

NY.Taxi at $9,900 Reserve

Liters.com

And many more

I submitted several English dictionary .COM and .ORG names to Top Domains and Great Domain Auction.

Rejected Quality not met.

I had a ccTLD rejected because they said the domain name wasn't in the language of the extension.

I can point out 100 different (English words).DE that get accepted.

IT'S TIME FOR A OPEN FORUM MEETING WITH SEDO. THE HYPOCRITICAL CLOSED DOOR POLICY ON HOW THEY REJECT DOMAINS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED PUBLICLY. THE NAMEPROS COMMUNITY IS OWED AN EXPLANATION.

The exact match domains do not have the same value they had once. The killer keywords will still go for higher prices. But this is a term you have to explain to other people or they have to Google it. Then it is also in plural form. As you said there are advertisers for that keyword, so park it with ads and watch the traffic.
