Does anyone here experienced a good result in selling domains at Sedo auction?

What is your success rate?

This month's Sedo Great Domains Auction is on Oct 17th-24th. I listed 50 domains. Unfortunately, only this one GotBitcoins.com is approved with a $99 reserve price. That's only 0.02% approval ratio!

Hope to hear from someone who did well in Sedo.

Thanks in advance.

In my experience, Sedo is generally dead. After using it for the last 15 years, i can say that it has resulted in close to 0 sales and offers. In my past experience with Sedo Auctions, I can say that it's better not to list there, especially with no reserve. The auctions tend to fetch bottom-barrel prices and do not attract end-users. I've been pitched by Sedo staff to submit my names years back and every time I did, it resulted in losses.

I'm still testing Sedo. I can neither say good, nor bad for the time being. I do like their simplicity but I am not sure whether I will get any offer or not.

I never listed any domain in auction until now. I'm thinking to try direct auction one time with a reserve price.

So basically plan is simple. I add one domain to direct auction, pay 59 usd fee. If it goes with a good price, I can make it that amount as capital and list all.

I Submitted 3 for this months Great Domains Auctions with "Cinco.es" been accepted , not sure what decisions are made regarding what makes the cut or not. Its my first time so cant really say either way. A bid of €600 on the first night so a nice early start.

Of the 169 domains listed the breakdown is as follows

85 .com
35 .de
16 .net
12 .es
6 .fr

So there are a large % of European CCtlds which would bite into the % of .coms accepted. I think they also like a realistic reserve price to be set.

Wow! You have a very good start.

The $600 bid is not easy to get on the first run, though your reserve is yet to be met.

My " GotBitcoins.com " still has to find the right interested bidders until now.

Yes I am pleased with the start, hopefully it will get a few more interested individuals.

Best of luck with "Gotbitcoins.com"

I sold one domain via auction for $1500 a few years ago. It was probably 3-5x more than I would have got on the forums at the time. Still less than I was hoping to get ($5000+).

Auctions are usually not beneficial for an investor because you won't get full retail. These are mainly investors bidding on domains, so if your domain is good enough to get bids you might as well keep it.
