Hi,

I have posted a domain 3 times on Sedo featured listing and they keep placing it in the UK section instead of the US section, i have mailed them and they saying that if i post a domain featured i must mail them afterwards to say that (because my browser settings are european) i wanted to be listed on the US site. Yesterday i have placed another domain featured and again it only appears on the UK site. I get very tired of this and thinking to leave Sedo if they keep scamming me this way.

Does anyone here had the same bull ??

I had the same thing, i called them and they have put my ad to sedo.com as well, so it was featured on two places, but still featured listing is totally worthless imo.

I just paid for my first featured listing with them. Of course, I sent payment in over a week ago and my domain is still not up on their site. I emailed customer support and got a response that they try to give all domains a fair shot at receiving visibility. The representative said they have been only placing a few domains up at a time so that the featured listings do not become bogged down.

While I agree with their logic, I wish they would have said this up front. My money isn't earning me any interest in their hands and I do not have anything yet to show for my purchase. I hope my domain will be showing up in the next week otherwise I will be demanding a refund.

Even if they had listed it in the right section, it wouldn't have made any difference, in my opinion. It is just a money maker for Sedo.com. Think of all the other domains could could have purchased with the money you spent to have your domains "featured". I have used it before too, didn't notice any difference.
It would be interesting if Sedo could provide numbers on how many domains that are "featured" were actually sold, or if it even increased views, and clicks.

I wonder whether there are 1+1 pods laying about in the sedo offices which are slowly coming to life aka The Bodysnatchers

You'll be happier if and when it sells.

I wish you all the best Fonzie! because i had the same bloody problem many months ago. After 5 emails i was left in a gutter and i filed for payment dispute on paypal. Within a week i got back my money accompanied with frustration.

I just don't understand why these companies are like this ???
When they're growing up, they fawn, boot polish,a*se licking, etc.. once they reach the zenith, our emails seem to be fallen on their oblivious folder.

I don't scorn at monopolist and don't moan when i reach my emotional climax but always find ways to outsmart them. I just found a way to increase my domains exposure.
As i continuously share my knowledge with everyone, here i have one more proven method to increase your sales.

Long story short.

Park your domain with fabulous, then put it for sale. On the sale option check on "Price negotiable" and "Make an offer". Finito.

Then your parked page will appear with "XXXXX.com is for sale. Price negotiable" in more visible way.

I had parked my names for mths with sedo without any offer and low ppc. My shift to fabulous had made a significant impact on my names. I got offers(still on nego) plus my ppc revenue gone up.
Of course you need to have justifiable domains. You can't expect MyDomainWorth12MillionAndOneDollar.com to get an offer and 100x better PPC revenue.

Until this very day, my statement might be right but when fabulous become big and market leader like sedo they might morphed into FabulouslyYetAnotherSedo.com. So this is a disclaimer.

PS:I might be a loud mouth about disclosing this corporations identity but i mean no harmful intention nor disrespect to their product and services.
I believe namepros and its members are very high esteemed traders and they believe in freedom of speech. That's why i had a special respect for namepros.com.
Since namepros.com is not affiliated with any of the big players, i think our freedom is preserved.

Sker, you make some very valid points. If my domain isn't listed by tonight, I will file a paypal dispute. The featured listing probably isn't worth the money anyway... Has anyone every used afternic or tdnam's featured listings? If so, are they any better?

I filed a paypal dispute to get a refund (the domain still wasn't listed this afternoon). We will see what happens.

I'm in the same boat. Paid for a listing sometime in mid-february and still no listing.

Sedo apparently likes to take your money, sit and earn interest on it, and give you nothing in return (except for a refund if you get pissy enough).

Don't worry, you'll never see your name be listed and you won't even be contacted nor ur email will be responded.

Thats the way it is.

Don't worry bud, you'll get back your money.

The good thing about Afternic.com when comes to paid listing is they don't ask you to pay if they don't have slot available. But again the biggest drawbacks are they charge you more than sedo and they required an appraisal to be attached(and again $$$$).

Nothing is perfect. just go with the flow guys
