I have ordered a "SEDO 30 Day Featured Listing" for my domain <VOD.in> on Oct 16, 2008.

Yesterday, I found that my domain was not in the featured listing:
http://www.sedo.com/search/searchre...language=e&showcase=1&listing_type=offer_only

And the screenshots has been attached...

BTW, it's not worth it, only got 240 views of offer since Oct 16, 2008.

I have sent an email to sedo support, but still have not got the response yet.

Anyone have the similar experience?

Thanks in advance,
Justin

i dont believe that sedo is the best approach to take when marketing individual domains. a buddy of mine has 300+ domains and lists all of them, and gets offers regularly. but in terms of finding end-users for individual domains, i don't believe it's the best approach.

most end-users haven't heard of or know anything about domaining. so sedo is something very alien to them. i bet that most of the people on sedo are other domainers/developers.

and i paid $15 for "top of category" listing for 2 of my domains, and they both received 300+ views in that time span.

Featured listing is only good in most situations for "domainer domains" or domains that have enduser written all over them. Stuff like LLL.coms, NNN.coms, and very strong .com keywords/generics can benefit from a featured listing because that's the kind of stuff domainers and endusers are looking for. If you have domains of that quality, you're much better off applying for "Top Domains" status on Sedo which is free to do.

Really, I don't see the purpose of a featured listing. If you had a very good domain, perhaps the small fee is justified by the equally small chance it produces a sale... You'd likely have much better results actively promoting the domain to endusers and making it known on domain name forums that your domain is for sale on Sedo imho.

Looking through the featured domains on Sedo, about half of them I wouldn't register if they were available for regfee.

Thanks for your reply, I know that.

The problem is the expiration date of my domain <vod.in> is Nov 16, 2008, but sedo has removed this domain from their featured listing yesterday (maybe yesterday or a few day ago).
