SEDO featured listing?

Has anyone ever sold a domain because they had a featured listing on SEDO. I decided to try it with one of my domains. $39.00 is alot, but my curiosity has gotten the better of me. Will let you know how it goes.

some of the domains in featured list are not that catchy.
So just go for it, if your names are good, may helped a lot.
but I wonder how long they will put your name in the list though.

I will try to keep track of the listing and let you know how often I find it listed and for how long it's listed. It's supposed to be listed for 30 days. I just listed it today and will post when it shows up. This could be interesting. I've had alot of problems at SEDO lately, but I guess they have had problems beyond thier control. I really like SEDO and hope everything has been repaired.

I tried it a couple times. I never sold anything as a result, but I did get a big boost of views to the listing. It will remain for 30 days in the featured section, but not on the home page. You will be lucky to get 1-2 days on the home page.

If I were you I would only list really good names (keyword or generic)
But if the name is rubbish do not assume it will be sold easily
just because more people will see it :]

IMO do not spend the money on Sedo featured, as it is a rotative system.
You barely will see your domain in the featured listings.

If you wanna sell it, spend the 39 in AdWords advetizing your domain for sale through the relevant keywords.

It's not worth it. My featured domain was pushed to the 2nd page after just 5 days - defeats the purpose IMO.

I agree with the last two posts. You could have spent your money better by regging 3,4,5, or 6 other domains? I think you will find out in the long run, that it will not create a sale for you. Too many domains are listed, and rotated as mentioned above. It is strictly a money maker for www.Sedo.com, and not the seller. If it does result in a sale, be sure to let us know!!

Update.... My domain was on the main page for less than one day. I received an e-mail from SEDO this morning stating that my domain would be listed on the main page for the first few days. It is now on the second page. I will let you know if it stays there for the 30 days promised.

I've never heard of any good results from the Featured listings .... It seems to be a
40$ learning curve for most

Thanks for all of your comments. I will post my results when the 30 days are up, or maybe sooner if my domain is removed. I could just be unlucky. Not all domains have been moved to the second page in less than a day. Maybe it has something to do with the "weekend" factor, or just a bad domain!!!!!!!

Curiosity is an addiction!! It's what got me into this business in the first place!! :lol:

UPDATE

My domain remained on the second page for the 30 days as promised. I recieved 72 visits to my offer. No purchase offers. During this same period the domain only recieved 8 unique visitors. It might be worth the $39, for the extra traffic, if you have a unique domain. Good luck.

No earnings from the clicks. There was no click increase from the previous months.
