I just got my 1st ever domain enquiry from Sedo as they have someone that has decided to use their brokerage services. Considering that the potential buyer had to pay $69 Euros to use them, you would presume that they are a serious buyer.

Their email basically asks for price expectations. I basically told them I would be willing to sell at the right price & would be open to serious offers as we all know the 1st to name a price loses.

I was wondering, how much effort does Sedo go into representing a buyer in negotiations? How many emails do they send back & forth in their negotiations before giving up & calling it quits.

Obviously, I am trying to get the best price possible from the buyer :)

If they are using SEDO, I suspect the buyer is another domainer. A true end user would more likely use Network Solutions or Godaddy.

is that domain listed in sedo for sale ? because sedo asks 69$ fee only if the domain not listed i think.

if he using 69$ fee for brokerage then he is some what serious buyer because domainers normally look sedo listed domains and make offer not spends 69$/euros for brokerage.

I doubt this. Why would a domainer spend 69 Euros just to get a company to send an email asking if a name is for sale & negotiate a sale when they can directly contact the person via email with all the details available in the whois & save that 69 Euros. Not too mention the 10% of the final price that they will have to pay Sedo as a comm.

No, it's not listed with Sedo for sale or as a parked page.
