I got my first offer from Sedo (yes!) a few days ago and I've been "negotiating". For me negotiating is alot more than just throwing prices back and forth at people (although sometimes that's all it is...). I find it frustrating that anytime I counter-offer and answer a question the bidder has - we have to wait for Sedo to examine the answer to make sure we aren't trying to contact each other privately.
In addition, Sedo instead of waiting until they've "approved" the custom comment goes ahead and sends the new "price" anyway.
I understand that Sedo makes money on the sale of the domain and wants to prevent people from dealing privately in a transaction that was intiated on Sedo - I respect that.....but if they are going to filter our "negotiation comments" they then need to do it faster - or at least give us a "not send offer until custom comments are approved" button on the bid response board.
Does anyone have any suggestions or good experience on how to deal with this when you are trying to negotiate?
Please dont respond with "If you dont like Sedo's style of domain price negotiations list your domain elsewhere" type comments - I already know that - I'd like to stay with Sedo - but maybe there is some kind of legitimate work around with Sedo that I'm not aware of. Or maybe I should relax about negotiating - becuase maybe after all its only about price....(I hope not)
Btw - I like Sedo - I use them for parking and they are serving me well.
Peace,
Tarry G
