Hi All! :hi:

By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas! Happy Holidays!

Always,
Keith
(on behalf of Sedo)

Fair enough. But everyone yells at sedo because they don't have camel casing. Godaddy doesn't either.

Lets not use godaddy as the benchmark for technical innovation.

Afternic the product of godaddy has camel casing , Sedo lander doesn't .

I get it. But most sales come from people shopping at godaddy.

I don't need camel casing. I don't think it matters. Have you ever purchased or not purchased a domain based on this?

I've misunderstood sales due to the lack of camelcase or due to the CamElcAse being presented weirdly.

There is only upside to CamelCase. Sedo should implement.

CamElcAse isn't going to happen as all letters would all be uncapitalized. My point is that everyone gets mad at sedo for something that godaddy doesn't have either. Your fast transfers sales from other registrars from afternic....not camel cased either.

Companies shouldn't work to match the lowest common denominator. They should strive to be better and offer the best possible services. Again, there is no harm to offering CamelCase, only upside.

I'm a bit disappointed that neither youcancallmeai.com nor youcancallme.ai is presented as YouCanCallMeAI

To be fair, according to namebio, LL.be market is not that hot.

People were also sending faxes, watching movies on VHS tapes, and using corded phones. Just because something was being done - doesn't mean it couldn't be done, better.

Switched from ns1/2 Sedoparking to sl1/2 & "views" have entirely dried up. I guess what we already knew, that said "views" were likely all bots, were infact.....all bots !

Hi all,

Thank you for your comments.

Weโ€™ve recently updated our platform to ensure that all customers are using our latest and most effective sales lander version. Our extensive testing and analysis have shown that the older layouts are not converting as well, and that the new version achieves significantly higher conversion rates. By introducing this version as the standard, we can ensure that your domains are presented in the best possible way and that visitors can easily access and bid on or purchase listings.

We are confident that this change will have a positive impact on your sales results and look forward to continuing to support you.

Best regards,
Your Sedo Team

@doofer - I imagine by now you figured out that views for sl1/2 can be found under "offer views."

If not, now you know. :)

As we all know, @Sedo is using this weird counteroffer system, that lowers the listing price of a domain, instead of sending your counteroffer, to the the buyer that made the initial offer.

This never made any sense to me, but today I realized a problem that it causes.

Someone made an offer for one of my domains.
The NS of the domain were pointing to SEDO.
The transaction fee you pay in this situation is 10%

So, I made my counteroffer, based on the 10% commission I was expecting to pay.
In the meantime someone else(or maybe even the same person), purchased my domain in its new price , using some of SEDO's partner.
And of course I paid 20% fee!

My point is that I countered expecting to pay 10%.
If I knew I would pay 20% I would have countered different price

Is this for real?

When I make a counter offer at Sedo, they change the listing price of the domain for everyone?

If so, that's absolute F-ed, like as you said, your offer was based on the commission. And I would also not be using BINs at Sedo, as they are no longer under your control.

And is this change permanent, as in if the buyer refuses, then you have to manually change it back?

P.S. I am really hoping that this is only for BIN priced domains (which is bad enough), and Sedo doesn't screw around with Make Offer domain listings.
