By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

Hi All,

All domains added to Sedo have SedoMLS Basic active on them. SedoMLS stands for multi listing service and we have more than 650 partners where your domain is shown as for sale which increases the exposure and chances of the domain selling. The promotion itself, meaning the partners where the domain is distributed at is the same as with our Premium version. So the exposure is the same with SedoMLS Basic and SedoMLS Premium. There are however, some more benefits to MLS Premium separate to the promotional element which I will explain.

Godaddy is a competitor of ours so they do not participate in the premium version of SedoMLS as any registrars or reselling partners who want to participate, have to actively make some technical changes to facilitate SedoMLS Premium. If your registrar is not listed in our list of partners when adding a domain, then it is not a SedoMLS premium partner and the registrar has chosen not to do this extra step to integrate the premium function, therefore MLS Premium cannot be activated.

The main difference between MLS Basic and MLS Premium is that if a domain sells via a partner website with MLS Basic, then the buyer is redirected to Sedo to finalise the purchase and the transfer process takes on average 4-10 working days. With MLS Premium the buyer can purchase the domain directly on the premium partners website rather than being forwarded to Sedo, leading to more buyers following through on the sale, the transfer is also an instant transfer so the buyer will get the domain that day and the seller will receive the funds for the domain very quickly.

As I said earlier, all domains have SedoMLS Basic active, so you don’t need to do anything other than list a domain for sale to know that this is active. In order to sell a domain through SedoMLS Premium Partner Network, the domain must meet the following requirements:

• The domain must be registered at a SedoMLS Premium Registrar.

• The TLD must be supported by SedoMLS Premium. https://faq-us.sedo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4086/kw/sedomls

• The domain must be listed for a fixed, 'Buy Now' price.

• You are the owner of the domain.

I notice some extensions that have been around for a while are not part of SedoMLS Premium, such as .bot. What are your plans to add this extension for the fast transfer?

Also what is the timeline to add the new TLDs from Amazon to Sedo (.now and .deal)? Your CS previously said it's in queue but had no timeline.

Hi all,

Just to let you guys know because of some of the feedback we received here which was passed on to our Tech Team. We have removed the Cloudflare captcha for all domains using the SL1/2 nameserver and the SL15 landing page.

As a result, all visitors and potential customers will now be able to access the SL15 landing page directly, without the need to complete a captcha beforehand.

Glad it helped. I have reached out to the person who deals with this for an update and they have said concerning .now and .deal they are currently in communications with Amazon about setting this up but there is no current time frame as to when this will be done at this time. With regards to the .bot and MLS compatibility, I have messaged the team with a request to take a look at this TLD and reach out to setup SedoMLS with this second level domain. I am not able to give you a time frame on how long that process will take either sorry.

I m sorry in case this has been mentioned again in this thread, but are you going to add a bulk delete function?
I believe that would be useful for all your users.

I currently own 15.000 domains, and I have to delete manually those which expire!

At least give your search the ability to recognise more than 1 domains, in "My Domains" page.

@Garet, This is one of my absolute favorite features with Sedo.

This is one of my absolute favorite features with Sedo.

Mine too. You can literally copy a whole page of your dynadot names and paste them as is in the search box and it works. It filters out everything and it is so useful.

In addition to group search, you can use the "Sync Domains" feature on the "Add Domains > Bulk Uploader" page to automatically delete domains that are not on your list.

1. 2FA would be a modern achievement, preferably with Google Authenticator. Then
2. the time until re-registration at Sedo could be extended. I think the duration of the logged-in status is quite short.
3. The sorting of domains in domain management needs to be improved. If a sorting criterion produces many identical results, e.g. sales price or internal views, the list entries are jumbled up when scrolling to the next page. Perhaps the sort order could be made more stable or a second sort criterion could be made available for selection.

2FA can be installed on Sedo in minutes, this has been pointed out before and has been the case for years. Why? Because Sedo's site uses a CMS (Content Management System) called TYPO3 which has free plugins to add 2FA for example: https://extensions.typo3.org/extension/cf_google_authenticator

I would find it more trustworthy to set up the authenticator directly in my Sedo account. As I have done in all other cases.
