Unstoppable Domains โ€” Expired Auctions

Hi All! :hi:

By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas! Happy Holidays!

Always,
Keith
(on behalf of Sedo)

How long does Sedo take to accept or reject submission for premium auction?

Hi,

When you submit an application for a premium domain auction at Sedo, how long do you usually have to wait for Sedo either to accept or to reject your request to participate in the auction? What is your experience with waiting for a response from Sedo?

Thanks!

They will respond for sure - in my expirience it always takes 2-5 days

I was wondering the same thing, actually. I submitted five domains this weekend. Sedo says it takes two business days. I received a rejection on two after two business names, but I'm still waiting on three and it's been nearly five days.

I've encountered several situations in which they didn't respond at all.
Their support isn't bad but it isn't good either.
'Average' would fit the profile IMO.

I suppose you need to specify that they are business days.

Thanks for the responses.

When you're waiting for a response from Sedo, does Sedo prevent you from listing your domain name for sale on Sedo? This has happened to me. To the left of the domain name, a little red exclamation point appears, and you can't list the domain name. Is this normal on Sedo?

When you submitted domains to Sedo Premium or any other auction, they are getting the status "not for sale" or this red exclamation. When your names would be accepted or rejected, they will be "for sale" again.
I think this is you're asking for.

Thanks guys for the help.

I think I submitted the name for premium auction on July 17 or 18, but I haven't received a response yet from Sedo one way or the other. When you're waiting for a response from Sedo, your domain listing is frozen. So, you can't sell the domain or get offers.

Does featuring a domain at Sedo really help?

im new to sedo, and I saw that you can get your domain(s) featured for a price. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it and if it has actually helped get their domain out there and make a sale.

Extremely frustrated, can someone help?

I'm running into an issue with trying to organize my domains into a portfolio on Sedo (by grouping them by TLD). I've tried it a million different ways, but need help. If anyone's around and willing to spare a moment, please PM me. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I can sort by TLD just fine, but I want do group all my German names into a portfolio, and all my .CO names in another, so I can optimize them and deal with them easily.

The issue is that once I go to Domain Parking > Statistics, the only domains that get displayed are ones with parking statistics designated by the radio buttons on the left (Top Earners Last 32 Days, Today's Statistics, etc.). That's even after selecting domains of a certain TLD on the right and hitting "select all" and "Update View." So even though I selected that I wanted all my .CO names displayed, it only returned 1 which had a pageview today. That doesn't do me any good, because I'd like to be able to select ALL the names and move them to a portfolio.

GoTo MyDomains. Not Domain Parking.

Then you can customize and export if necessary. One of the drop downs is traffic and it shows even 0s (I have lots which is not necessarily a good thing!)

I'm fine with the My Domains page. No problems there. But you can't optimize from that page. I don't need to export, I already have all my domains in Excel outside of Sedo.

What I was hoping to do was to create a specific portfolio I could link to... in other words, if someone goes to WORD.CO, I wanted to be able to link to my .CO portfolio, but not necessarily to my ENTIRE portfolio. Can you specify different portfolios in that capacity? I think contextual portfolio linking could be beneficial...but sending them to a list of 355 random names might not be.

Hi,

I have recently come across to sedo park pages that display the sellers personal email on them. Why would sedo do this? I can't find this option inside my sedo account. Maybe these pages were altered by the domain owner to add extra information.

Here is an example:
traumpreise dot eu

What do you think?

Hello I just received an email from a person at SEDO (a manager) asking if I wanted to put one of my domains in a premium auction.

Does anyone here have experience with the premium auctions? This will be my first one.

Thanks in advance for the helpful info

If anyone at Sedo reads this thread I have a request. Please modify your domain search feature to recognize hacks.

When you search for words like critical and paranormal domain hacks do not show in the results. The end user is missing out on the potential to buy Critic.al and Paranorm.al

As a hack owner I hope that this feature request gains some traction.

thats interesting that they contacted you. i have had them contact me on only one of my domains and i think they must have had some interest in it already.

This is prolly for the upcoming August Premium Auction so IF you want to test the waters and sell the domain, you will need to come up with your reserve price and let them know so it may be pushed to auction.

Good Luck
