Hi All! :hi:

By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas! Happy Holidays!

Always,
Keith
(on behalf of Sedo)

This is a very interesting point you bring up. As with any domain you have listed with any listing service it is important to setup your own marketing and promotion for it. We can not depend on others to do the hard work for us. When using sedo, you should think about it more as a platform to help with the domain acquisition and selling process.

Fair enough, but it should be a two way street. My comment was about a change of balance in the process, which is a definate shift in their favour.

I forgot email address on sedo to speed up verification process - it is something like domainverification[at]sedo.com.

Can somebody help me? Tanx :)

Which is the best method to get the payment from sedo, Wire transfer or Paypal ?
Any charges will be incurred either in Wire transfer or Paypal ?
Please let me know about it.
Thanks a lot.

Sedo transfer agents are notoriously incompetent...especially in cctlds. When I make a sale, ill be lucky to get the money within a month, 2 months is more norm. Its just the way how it is... no competition especially in cctlds, considering I could do the transfer in less then 24 hours 90% of the time. And I am a 5 out of 6 bar seller, plus I do a lot of business with them in parking... so no favoritism here... although my account managers are THE MOST delightful, they need to make a new department for 5+ bar sellers to expedite transfers, maybe a sedopro "transfer agent"

payment at SEDO

One user sent me an offer for my domain and I accepted.
Now he is not replying and not transferring the money..

Shall I ask SEDO to do something? SEDO can take action? or what shall I do?

I tried the new free appraisal service by SEDO and one domain I listed there has a suggested price of 2000-2999.. Should I make it on showcase and follow the price suggestion?

[urgent] Sedo payments

It's the first time I receive an offer at Sedo and I might accept it. Problem is I haven't any experience with business at Sedo and I'd like to know a few things.

1) the only payment system I can accept is Paypal: if the buyer wants to pay via another system, as a seller, am I committed to offer all the payment systems supported by Sedo? Or does the buyer need to meet my paying requirements?

2) at the moment I have a personal account at Paypal (I'm planning to get a premium one, not now though), which means I can receive payments from balance only: how do payments work at Sedo? Will I receive the money from Sedo or the buyer? How can I ask the other party to send a payment from balance?

Thank you very much!

Sedo pays you not the buyer so as long as you set your account at Sedo to paypal payment then Sedo will pay you with Paypal.

OK, thanks. So will I get a payment from Sedo's Paypal account balance?

Ditto and sedo pays via paypal masspay.

Unfortunately I've never used masspay: do masspay payments necessarily come from balance? Sorry for being repetitive, but this is what's crucial to my situation right now.

Yes, masspay comes from the balance.

Not quite sure what you mean by 'payment from Sedo's Paypal account balance'...

But, as others have said, if you set your Sedo payments account to your Paypal email details, then, Sedo collects the funds from the buyer, and, pays it into your Paypal account directly.

Note: After you accept the offer via Sedo (or, the auction for your domain ends) check your Transfers section in Sedo regularly....Its your communication mechanism with Sedo - step by step - until the transaction/transfer of the domain is complete.

Its a good system, actually - but, a bit slow....It takes about 3 weeks, or so, to get paid.

Thank you, guys! Repped added to all!
I wonder how the seller transfers the domain to the buyer. How does it work?

I mean payment coming from balance of Sedo's Paypal account (the one Sedo uses to handle Paypal payments).

Again, through your Sedo Transfer section, when the time comes that Sedo have received the funds from the buyer, Sedo notifies you to commence transfer of the domain. They will instruct you as to what you need to do, and the steps you need to take.

After Sedo confirms the domain has been transferred, Sedo pays the funds into your Paypal account.
