Sedo - 4 days delay for a simple question and external transfer?

Hello,

I sent a relatively simple question to Sedo at [email protected] and also requested an external transfer on a completed deal with another person on december 1.

I've not received an answer from them yet on both emails and I'll phone them tomorrow.

I did two other external transfers with them in the last month and the delay was about 24-48h.


Anyone else is currently awaiting an answer from them?

My guess was that they would be better at handling requests on completed deals where they make 750-1000$ in commission, it doesn't seem so. Thanksgiving and the black friday could explain the delay a bit, but it's getting a bit long.

Yeah, have been waiting several days for a reply to a very simple question as well. Also have some transfers that seem to take much longer than usual.

They announced recently they were laying off 20 percent of the workforce, but maybe they are in more serious trouble?

Didn't know Sedo was in so deep. Sedo has to lay off to save money, meanwhile GD can acquire a $350million dollar company.

It took 3weeks for me to get $200 proceeds and I had to do the work of the seller and escrow company. When it takes too long to get business done, buyers and sellers go elsewhere. Oh, and they don't work weekends, regardless of your timezone.

Too bad they chose not to update and restructure, however, they are grossly inefficient across the board and are partial to certain types of sellers and names.

Sad but happy. Out with the old and bloated and in with the new and super efficient.

They apparently work as a showcase but the seller ends doing the brokering. They do not work weekends and have a live chat system that is always closed.

Now getting in the testimonial part, SEDO could never solve a problem I issued to them, I waited several days for an answer, they said they would solve it and I had never heard about them since. Giving them the benefit of the doubt perhaps they have more people listing domains for sale than they can handle.
I personally prefer Afternic, they answered a question in less than 24 hours, very polite and professionally.

It is listed in the geo-located domain I get here in Canada.

I contacted them over the phone at their Boston call-center and they recommended me to send it to [email protected].

They weren't clear on it, but mentioned it forwards to the same address. By sending it to this address I got a response the next day (I can't confirm if this email helped or if my other email got through first). It's probably an older email and it may not be as well monitored. Just a guess here.

Their chat is usually open when I use it, but they always tell me to call directly as my questions are too confidentials even if I'm logged with my own account.

At least they answer quickly on the phone from the 4-5 times I called.

Still no answer to my support question (almost two weeks now), and I have some very simple transfers there - account changes where payment has already been received - that seem to take much longer than usual.

A bit worrisome...

Thanks for the suggestion. My transfers did get moving now, but I do think their organization is in turmoil at the moment...
