Sedo Transfer for external sales commission 3% or 15%?

Hi, i was just wandering if any one can shade some lights on this question , if you want to use Sedo external Transfer at 3%, because a buyer contacted you. However the name was listed on Sedo at Make offer, then we removed the name from Sedo. In this case will Sedo charge 3% or the commission for a listed name (15%). If we are allowed to use the 3% commission then how long the name must have been removed from Sedo listing for them to conssider it as oppose to the normal 15% commission .

a couple of months ago I asked the same question to SEDO's support.
The answer was that the 3% is valid only for domains that have never been in SEDO's marketplace.

So, in your case, 10%-15% will be the fee unfortunately.
Please feel free to contact them as well though.

I guess that is fair, as names can take many months of negotiation to get to a sale.

I can understand if a buyer went through Sedo listing and saw the name, but if he/she went directly to a parking page form, and contacted the owner via the parking form, there is no reason for Sedo to charge 15%, in addition if we dont remove the name from the listing , it might create some conflict and delay the sale and / or the transfer process. But i might be wrong on this one too. Some folks who might have gone through this might shade some light .

if they went to parking page and used the form... and the form and parking page were provided by sedo, then you owe sedo 15%

Thank's @biggie , i meant another parking company, say the name is parked at Bodis / Voodoo and the offer came from there but not from the Sedo offer Form.

if you perform the sale yourself

1) delete the domain from sedo
2) send an email to escrow @ sedo.com
with the financial details and the account name of the buyer

it should be 3% in that case
