I have a domain with two keywords and the exact combination of those words have an average searchvolume of +/- 1.200/month. The main keyword does 1 million/month.

Moreover 1 have a two word domain with the word "buy" in it. The combination does only 50 hits/month but the main keyword 200.000/month.

What do you think of such domains in general?

When I first started filtering domain names to see which ones to buy and which one had value I thought search volume was the one and only important factor to determine the value. I learned very quickly that this is not the case.

I still think search volume is important but I have experience cases in which a two word .com had a smooth sound to it and the combination of the 2 words made sense but had low searches, high cpc and plenty of advertisers. The word end up selling for a nice amount.

In another case I had a two word .com with higher search volume but no advertisers or only a few and avg cpc. This one did not sell and I actually just let it drop.

My advice to you is to pay attention to other factors while at the same time still giving importance to search volume as well.

search volume does not equal "hits or visitors" that a domain created from those terms would receive, especially if it is not .com
