Hello NamePros community! We are creating a single thread where we can share announcements in, talk about product updates, people can ask questions and host a great discussion on all things domains!

Hi, I had similar issue, what i did is I log in at 3 different registrars at the same time, so they don't have time to reg my names. So I don't really get why I would spot a domain on the drop at ED, do my research, it's available, I search for it on SAV .com it's available, I quickly proceed to buy, only to be told that order was unsuccessful and I'll be refunded
Just for me to check whois and the domain was registered on the same sav .com and have nameservers pointing to after.nic every dammn time.
Happened again tonight. This is not the first, second, third or fourth time I'm experiencing this, only at sav!! You guys believe some of us are really dumb yea. Think this cheap .com prices is now starting to really purge. Should start looking at other alternatives...
When you will add .top, .garden, .de.com, .com.de, .casa and others?New available TLDs to register at Sav!
At Sav, we are continuing to expand our TLD options. We are happy to announce that we have 8 new TLDs for you to choose from:

@kor - Both are used by us. One of them is the web UI, and one of them is the true port 43 WHOIS.

@kor - We try to make this really easy by just adding a WHOIS link to the bottom of each page on Sav. Just click that.

@vravis9 - We have recently restricted some types of "alias" email addresses that allow one actual email address to be used for multiple Sav accounts. Please reach out to our support team to update the email address on your account (just click the Help link in the header) and you should be able to start purchasing domains again in no time.
@Macanthony - DM me the domain name, and your Sav account and ill take look at the status of the domain name when you added it to the cart, and the status when you checked out. It sounds like the domain name was registered between the time you added it to the cart and checked out. You can just do a WHOIS on the domain as well. There are a lot of people who use the list on ExpiredDomains.net and we have seen this many times before.
@iTesla - We are integrating new TLDs almost weekly and usually announce them on here. We don't have any dates for these specific ones but will see if we can move them to the top of the list.

@CK_Yau - Let me bump this internally and see what we can do in the next few months. Feel free to request any TLD you want!
@HighPointGuy - You can track the progress of these transfers in the Transfers tab of Sav. To speed this along, just ACK the transfer at the losing registrar. You will get an email alert again on the domain arrives and the funds have been added to your account.
1. Yes. You should get notification for outbid and every other bid (doesn't always works). All right, I never used sav backorders (succesfully) before so here are some questions:
I was the first to place a backorder for a .com some days ago, caught by sav going to auction:
1. First bid was placed on my behalf automatically. Will I get a notification when I get outbid?
2. If I up my bid, will that be a proxy bid or will an upped bid of $1500 set it to that number straight away.
3. How do you deal with last second bidding? Will the auction get extended or what?
Sav faq/blog seems quite generic leaving a lot of room for interpretation.
@Sav.com @Nick R or anyone with backorder experience at sav feel free to chime in!

3. Any bid in the last 5', extends the auction to 5' till end.

1 - Yes
2 - We will increase your bid by the minimum amount needed to become the high bidder, up to your max.
3 - If a bid is placed in the last 5 minutes of an auction, the auction is extended so there are 5 minutes remaining from the time that bid is placed. There is no hard stop time for an auction.
