Sale agreed - My Auth Code not available until next month

I hand registered a domain on the 16/04/2018 and put it on SEDO with a BIN - buyer made an offer within a week which I accepted.

Today I have received an email from SEDO saying to unlock (which it was already) and to provide Auth code, looking into it, as I only registered last month, I have to wait 60 days before transferring to another registry - is there any way around this?

Any advice would be appreciated

EDIT: the buyer has transferred their funds to SEDO and this has been confirmed by them

If registered on namecheap, namesilo or godaddy simply move out other domains to another account and give the sold domain along with the account

Contact SEDO Support and explain to them this has to be push to another account at the current registrar!
They have faced this situation before and can help explain this to the buyer.

all my domains are with godaddy - to so I move them all into a new account with godaddy and then transfer account number and sold domain name?

Yeah, pretty standard situation, just tell them the domain has the transfer lock until xx/yy and can be pushed at godaddy.

GD account push for domains is so easy. Takes a couple of mins as long as the the buyer has an account set up.

thanks Ollie - just looked on sedo 5min ago they have contacted the buyer to advise on situation so looking good.

My first sale via sedo so was unsure about how it works.....glad i have checked this out on here, as going forwards will know exactly what to do!

What is TLD?
Many registries don't set 60 days lock anymore...
For example, recently I have sold and trasferred out .life domain which was registered ~40 days ago at 1and1.

Verisign (.com/.net) also doesn't set this lock anymore.
But transfer may be rejected by certain registrar (it is not mandatory for registrars but they have such rights optionally).

So you may try to transfer your .com
If your registrar is NOT GoDaddy.

Tickets are not needed at all.
Just write comment for this transaction in Sedo's Transfer Center...
