Sometimes the Domainers that Post in the Domains Wanted Section Make me laugh.

They are so bent on reselling, that they want to get everything at a discount. If you check the domain names wanted section, you are most likely to see Ads that look like this :

LLL name wanted, Must have 30,000 type in traffic, Earning revenue, PR9, Aged. Budget $30

Its ridiculous, they under price domains a lot there. Some of the requests make me laugh, you could offer sex.com to one of em and they would make you an offer of $200.

Get a grip guys!

My own opinion of what i see round there, Too much people searching for a bargain

Well, it is ridiculous at times.

But hey, at least they are looking for a domain and give a price.

What is ridiculous at times are people who will not counteroffer.

That is what one should do in PM.

What I don't understand is why NamePros is so bent on making people give a budget but yet allow
people to bother you with their overpriced garbage and tell you "I got this domain but you will need to increase
your budget to $x,xxx!
"

Or they'll send you a list of weight loss pill domains when you're looking for a gaming domain.

Should be a rule that if you can't offer any domains in the budget and category specified then don't send a PM.

The Domains Wanted section or Comedy Central whichever you prefer to call it, is usually a ridiculous section on any domain forum.

People have to list a budget, so they list one even if they don't even have that much money to their name.

Sellers see a budget and make whatever name they have the max budget.

Then you have the people that flunked reading. Thread says 4 letter .coms only, Reply I know you said 4 letter .com only but I have this great 4 letter .pw it would cost a million dollars in .com, so I offer it at your max budget.

Then there are people who have no intention of buying anything and use it as an ideas exercise, where they may get an idea from all the submissions and find a hand reg.

Then there are people like Brad Mugford who actually do buy and make Domains Wanted worth looking at.

Again IMO

Hello :)

Below each wanted post is clearly stated...

Do you have a domain that matches this buyer's criteria and budget?
Click here to send a Private Message to ...
1.) Submitting domains that are unrelated or don't conform to the seller's request Are considered SPAM.
2.) If the buyer doesn't respond it means they aren't interested, Please DON'T send anymore pm's!

We do encourage members to send names that meet the buyers criteria :)

Lets assume for example that i registered Sex.com yesterday for 2.99 [Voucher included] OFCOURSE i'd put it up on sedo for $xxxxxxxx because i know the value.

If you register a gem, you are allowed to sell at the value of the gem

Thats true. got a PM yesterday, the guy said " I know you are looking for domains with revenue, but i have two great domains 1500 unique visitors daily, no revenue but i'm sure it can make some money, i'll give it to you for $2000"

It took me a lot of resistance to stop myself from telling him to go to hell.

:talk:

although I agree with what you say basically, in contrast I have "sold the majority of names sold on forums"....thru a "domains wanted" post.

but it's true what you say
about some of the games, domainers play

they so scared they gonna overpay for something, when they don't even know the value of names in first place.

the guides, are now guiding pricing and phrasing it as "market value"

The serious and realistic buyers (and sellers) are easy to spot.
Just look at their TR.

I have made a few sales in WTB sections on other forums, There are always going to be unrealistic requests, offers and Trollers. But, at the end of the day there are some serious buyers and some serious sellers - you never know. A couple years back, I responded to a WTB request (looking for a specific type of name at a $xxx range) I sent him a list of related names in his budget. A couple he was interested in, But he was really interested in one of my other names I had in my signature. Ended up selling it for mid $x,xxx (and one of the others in the list for $xxx)...you just never know.
