I'm writing this post out of frustration. Perhaps someone here has an idea or thought on the matter.
The basic conundrum is that NameJet and Godaddy charge RIDICULOUS auction fees for domains in the $25-$75 range. If I have a domain backordered at Namejet for $69, they take 19 and then I have to pay the $9 transfer fee to Enom. I end up with $41 - 40% less than what the buyer actually paid. For Godaddy, they take a minimum of $15 or 20%, which is equally disturbing on names in the $50 range - 20-40% depending on price.
The Chinese auction sites charge much less, and some people have recommended selling on 4.cn. But I have heard some horror stories about them here on Namepros. Also, they don't seem to have a very active auction platform. And I don't see any way for a westerner to set up an account at ename.com.
Is there a cost effective way to sell to Chinese buyers? Please share your thoughts!
