Based on a recent discussion here about domain age, I would like to propose the community adopt more succinct terminology to describe aging.
Concurrent Age - the number of years a domain has been registered without expiration. Once expired, the timer starts at zero. Could maybe be called Sequential Age alternatively.
Cumulative Age - the number of years since initial registration that it has been registered. This is the sum of all periods of ownership. Periods of being unregistered are not included in this sum.
Thoughts?
I could see both these data points being valuable factors in determining the desirability (and ultimately value) of a domain.
