I live in the small town. Also I own a geo.tv domain of this town. What kind of business I can open on the busy street in downtown so I can name my business” geo.tv” and I can profited from both online and foot traffic?

Any business that you want. By owning YourTown.tv it will be very easy for people in your town to remember your web address.

Is the "small town" the one you have in your sig, "moscow.tv" ;)

Sell LCD Tv's!
If you stay in Moscow then Moscow.tv is ideal for the 'Best LCD Shop in Moscow' The domain would make perfect sense that way

Hull's, So you had ______.TV above your shop but customers would see it then go home and type in ______tv.com????

If that is correct then all that proves is the people of Hull are daft & have no memory
I cannot work out how people ever end up typing in tv.com when they have been told about a .tv unless they heard about some new website that uses a slogan rather than the EXACT domain name like you did then they may go home thinking "That new site is called ssomething like ____ TV, i'll maybe try ____tv.com"
If they get told the exact domain then type in something totally different then they are just stupid. IMHO :bah:

I own a tv.com as a back up to a developed .tv i own, so far the .tv gets around 10,000 uniques per month but the tv.com does not get even 1% of that.
I use the exact domain name in all advertising so i can't see any reason for anyone to end up going to the tv.com but maybe i'm missing something as why people continually expect users to end up at tv.com's??

yes ronnie i do agree with you..they must be stupid..

but it was taking to much of my time telling them its a tv not a tv.com that i had to change the sign above the shop and go back to my old name and email address.
what is now a co.uk....i do lots work in manchester and leeds ,it was not just the people in hull.

if some one tells me a domain name i remember but then i am into domains
,but you have to understand some of these customers only use com and co.uk

i see lots people every day ,and i am trying to tell everybody about dot tv

Yes, I am looking at the newly developed building with mixed use “retail plus residential” where developer has a hard time to rent out two spaces out of 6. The foot traffic is very high especially in the evening. I spoke with the developer and he is willing to lease the space to me till Christmas to tryout. The name of the town is Campbell near San Jose, CA. You ever been there? If not, please stop by and see how beautiful here.

Thank you all for your comments!

Smash, you might be right. But why do you think people who live in Silicon Valley with every family member has a pc and some even has also a laptop would serve the internet for a fee in downtown. By the way, I believe there are 4 stores already who offer a Wi-Fi for their clients, including two coffee shops and the ice cream store. How about internet café for kids? Kids can play on the computers under supervision of the employee while their parents having fun in the restaurants and the bars?

Go for an industry with money, how far is another struggling independent coffee shop with a bunch of screaming kids running around going to get before you go insane?

I would start a video (tv) based real-estate show room.
Walk in traffic could enjoy large screen HDTV home tours and slide shows and the online audience could watch smaller ones. Revenue and content would come from Real Estate agents and independent sellers. Even after hours you could be showing video listings in your front windows and getting paid. Aside from the houses videos you could have a general real estate directory as another income stream.

Im confused about why you say Moscow is a small town? I do understand there are multiple places named Moscow but there is alot more money to be made using this name to promote businesses in the big Moscow then one of the small ones, even if you live in the small town.

You are absolutely right. But my question was about Campbell not Moscow. :)

Okay, gotcha :)

btw, Rick Latona has some good articles about developing GEO names.
http://www.ricklatona.com/

I think instead of building a physical presence based on a domain name I would think of the buisness first and THEN get an appropriate domain.
